DAVID TEMPLETON and Andy Little will go for scans next week as Rangers try to determine exactly how long the pair will be out for.

Both players were substituted just before half-time in Wednesday’s league-clinching 3-0 victory against Airdrieonians at Ibrox.

Little was hurt while running down the left flank and has damaged his thigh while Templeton has a groin problem after going down heavily in a challenge.

Each will certainly miss tomorrow’s home meeting with Dunfermline at Ibrox and Monday’s Scottish Cup replay with Albion Rovers in Hamilton.

Beyond that, it remains to be seen what kind of absences the attacking duo will have but manager Ally McCoist is anticipating they’ll be missing for weeks rather than days.

Little and Templeton will be seen by medics on Tuesday as they look to establish the extent of the damage they have suffered.

The problems they’re encountering means McCoist will be forced into making changes for tomorrow’s home match with Dunfermline Athletic.

It was always likely after that title triumph in midweek he’d mix his team up with the forthcoming Rovers clash in mind.

In that respect, youngsters Calum Gallagher, Charlie Telfer and Craig Halkett are all in line to be named in the squad after training today.

Kyle Hutton made a successful return from a broken leg in Tuesday night’s 1-0 under-20 win over Dundee United.

But the midfielder feels he needs a full 90 minutes under his belt before he can return to the first team and he won’t be considered.

Chris Hegarty completed the full game with the Arabs so he could come into the pool but fellow defender Ross Perry definitely won’t.

He’s due to play instead for Gordon Durie’s team in the SPFL Under-20 League meeting with Inverness at the Highland Football Academy in Dingwall next week.

Elsewhere, Nicky Clark has suffered no adverse reaction after coming on as a substitute against the Diamonds following two months out with a foot fracture.

But Lewis Macleod is still sidelined as he waits for test results following a virus although he is keeping his fitness up by working in the gym.

So where does it they may be out the rest of the season? Could be back in a week or two.

Do you work for a newspaper perchance?

The worry is that they could be out that long if its weeks then they will miss most of the rest of the season at least. It gives a chance for the younger lads to stake a claim however, if they get the chance.
