Popular Post Inigo 32,529
A lovely occasion. Well done for supporting one of our own, Bears, and to all of the players out there who can all count themselves as Bears for life too.Great to see those old stars. Klos. Jeeso. He has the beginnings of man boobs, which I never expected from such a fit, professional character, but my-oh-my did he become the Klos of 15 years ago in a instant! Some of those saves were top class. And wee Rino. Never the most talented player, but you can see why he became such an important one for some great teams. Midfield terrier extraordinaire. So many heroes out there. Enjoy it while you can, folks, because the next generations of legends might be a little different. But, anyway. It was an emotional day. I hope it helps the man to stay strong. And on a secondary note, many thanks to Fernando (and the organisers), because despite your illness you've managed to do what many have failed to do recently - you made it feel like Rangers again. And it was great to see so many kids there, being taught what it means. Once all of our problems are over, make sure you keep bringing them, Bears, and teaching them what it's all about. They are the key to a healthy future for this club. No Surrender, Fernando!!! WeeJim, Bear cub1, KeyserSoze and 15 others

Wednesday Loyal 998
Had to laugh at Rino running about kicking lumps out off everything in red. Duries finish was class and has still got a decent bit of pace on him.Its a good job they weren't wearing green
We Will Follow Rangers 12,921
one or two of Klos's saves were brilliant, I dont think even he knew he was still as supple - instinctive, he'll be sore the morra.Cracking post Inigo Ibrox_Nights

gmcf 34,194
Well done Bears , excellent turn out today . For a change football took a back seat to showing support to one of our own. Really saddened watching the big screens on Fernando's happier times with us and it really brought home what a horrible illness this really is. I hope today gave him a slight relief from all that . gmcf 34,194
Take rino gattuso unfit over the shit we have in cm today.Couldn't agree more , he was a stand out in that first 45. The hunger , desire and heart he played with today has been missing in our midfield for years now.

Marky. 6,927
Was incredible to see so many fans and so many ex players come and create a memorable day, not just for Fernando Ricksen, but for everyone in the Rangers family. It was also fantastic to see so many names come and play, even with no real connection to Rangers, to make the day of a club icon.I was working today in Cumbernauld and decided to take my laptop and watch the game. Bought the game as a one-off and was proud of everything I witnessed.Everything was well and truly put into perspective, and it breaks my heart to see someone I grew up watching in such a way, but it makes me even more proud of the fans who showed up to make it a special day, and to the organisers and players who were able to make it happen. Well done to everyone who attended and made me feel like I was watching the Rangers that I remember.Once again we proved to be The People. hammer time 653
was unsure about going all week then decided to this morning normally don't like friendly matches but this is different, glad I did exceptional turnout by the Bears to support Ricksen, so sad to see someone whose body is just giving up on him. Ok just a kickabout between a bunch of old men but great to see some of the heroes of days past returning home. keep on fighting Fernando we are all behind you Wednesday Loyal and The Blue Sea of Ibrox 2000
reallyruff 622
Loved the feeling of being a Ranger today. So proud. Can't help but reflect on how polarised we have become and wonder if it's been at all worth it. Surely with today in mind we could all take a fresh perspective and collectively do whatever is right by the club.
RFC55 108,935
Really emotional day. Horrible to see Fernando so frail, yet inspiring to see him show so much fight. But then, we all know how much fight he's got so it's not that surprising. I hope he keeps fighting bravely. No Surrender, Fernando. We're all behind you.Sore to see how crippled he seems by it already.
