we've easily been the better team but just a bit too slow at times, smaller pitch makes a dent in our game plan and at times we look much better being more direct and putting hamilton on the backfoot instead of allowing them to get goalside

The impression I've had of the match so far is that for the majority of the first half we've been struggling with that pitch, let's be honest it looks worse than our training pitches, and it was really only down to the last 10 minutes of the half that we started to get a grip with the conditions and our improvement in play definitely showed that.

What a well taken goal by Waggy it was clear that he was trying for the goal and I was stunned as it was Sutton that had to point it out to Butcher and even more stunned at the praise he gave Waggy.

Hopefully we can continue the second half in the same style that we played in the last 10 minutes of the first half.

This is going to sound a bit cunty but I'm so glad we've scored before half time to stop all the moaning cunts complaining that we're not performing well enough almost purely based on a 0-0 score line. We get it all the time. The team has huffed slightly on a poor surface but there has been quite a few flashes of quality and we've pretty much controlled that half. Hamilton are dogged in defence. They're not packing the box but are pressing every player high up the pitch which is making things difficult. Despite that we've created enough to more than deserve a narrow 1-0 half time lead. If it wasn't for a couple of poor finishes straight at the keeper we would be more in front. More of the same in the second half please.
