roboscot 1,176
An old head with bags of experience, also working at international level. Knows what it means to be a Ranger and knows the demands the fans have of the team. Not the worst appointment we could've made. Good luck Jimmy Nic. tina-duncan 212
Could this be a sign that we're sizing up Michael ONeill then?

ritchieshearercaldow 22,158
So if Murty ever falls on his sword, will Jimmy be our manager ?

TheMotor 2,208
Good appointment. He might just help some of this squad find their mis-laid spines. I certainly expect some of them to get a right good kick in the baws.

shaka 1,677
Certainly has a lot of experience and right now Murty desperately needs someone there to guide him, so hopefully it's a good fit.
Mesmer 27
It's Jimmy Nichol. Ah, beaten to it. Interesting appointment though. Interesting times for Murty...

Dan Deacon 55,278
"I won't comment on that until eh er it's disrespectful to talk about players or staff " Murty just basically confirmed this

You have covered it all in that post I would say mate, he should be a steadying influence I hope and does have a lot of experience to pass on to Murty. One of his first bits of advice should be, do not to say how great the piggery is on live TV ffs.

OneDavidCooper 2,505
Really pleased about this. Liked him as a player and he was excellent at Raith. Even happier now having just noticed Ricky Foster has been sent off for St Johnstone

Creampuff 22,628
Bags of experience, and that’s what our current set-up is missing. If nothing else we can just be happy that it’s not Ferguson, Butcher, or McCulloch
saltire266 502
I'm just glad it wasn't wee Barry! Great to keep him as far away from things as possible
BlueSuedeSambas 53,800
I’d be happy with that appointment. I said he would be a good appointment weeks ago.
