Could be a goal, should be a goal, would be a goal, near miss, great skill and all the accolades about play are all fine and well.   But count for very little unless goals are scored.    1 is not enough after this half of play.    1 may not be enough if that's how the game ends.    The nose and the tail of it is the team is still not anywhere ruthless enough in scoring goals.    And against a team where there is a point to make too.   Progres will think they are well in with a chance when we are as wasteful as this.   They may be by far the happier team at half time.

Right now all the fancy play and missed opportunities are not good enough.   Its up to Rangers to score a lot more goals in the 2nd half.    There is no escaping that that is what needs to happen.

Arfield has an incredible ability to find space. That wasn't really Alfie's half. Aribo - what can you say, outstanding.

Good marks for Halliday & Edmundson ( the two who were questioned to start )

No panic. The goals will come.

Agreed

This is the kind of game we’ll get week in week out in the SPL, teams prepared to sit back and defend.

Agree and by the looks of it we will still struggle to break them down although I would take a 1-0 win every game

If Halliday is being seen as first choice left back then we’re fucked.

You talk some amount of shite on here , Barasic has never put in a half like that since he came. Haliday all day over this shitebag..........

Pretty decent first half, although we should be at least a couple more up.

Aribo showing what a player he’ll be for us.

Morelos is doing himself no favours with buyers tonight.

Ojo has been very disappointing for me.

Need to keep on top of this - some of their players look quite good technically, they do have a goal in them. Let’s get this out of sight before the 2ng leg please.

Wonder why Gerrard is dropping Katic and Barasic.    Edmundson has no European experience as far as I know and has barely in the door as a Rangers player and can't yet be fully tuned in to the way the rest of the team plays.  As for Barasic, what has he done wrong so far in this campaign - and what has Halliday done that is so much better - that puts Halliday ahead of Barasic.   Barasic is an experienced player at international level for a top footballing country.   Halliday is not.    Besides which Barasic and Katic may be much more used to playing in hot weather conditions against European sides who also play more frequently in these conditions than the likes of Edundson and Halliday.

That defence selection risks costing goals tonight imo.    I hope it doesn't but if it does then Gerrard will have shown he has learned nothing from certain games last season where his selection of defensive options looked to be choices that were not the best options available.

With a big squad, the manager's job is to pick the best team for the opposition of the day. Both Edmundson and especially Halliday have had good games so far. Our issue has been breaking down a packed defence and we need to see more from the likes of Arfield and Ojo to make that happen.

More goals needed. Agan not burying chances.

Aribo  fucking massive! We stole a diamond there.

Davis quality and bossing it.

Halliday, great urgency and ability. Unlucky again not to have scored. Wan gear Tav still asleep and final balls atrocious. Sorry, forgot we canny criticise him.

Movement up front pretty good and a few  goals coming the second half for sure.
