Gaffer got it wrong, shouldn’t have started the game.

I do not get that really, he has had a pre season with Liverpool and played some  under 23 games with them after he was dropped from the top squad. He has trained with us for nearly two weeks and IMO he could have come on at 60/70 minutes and done exactly the same thing, it is just bad luck nothing to do with easing him in.

I just hope it is not too long but would imagine 6 - 8 weeks unfortunately.

Are people actually believing that kent done his hamstring because he has hardly played competitive football this season.....fuck me if he was blowing out his arse after 30mins then fair enough....muscle strains can happen at any time and fuck all to do with lack of game time

Aren’t hamstring injuries quite bad? Can be out for at least 4 weeks with even a minor hamstring pull.

Yep can be six weeks some players are quicker but always run the risk of doing it again.

The danger will be to rush him back which would be a big mistake, a half fit Kent with an unhealed injury is no use to us.

depends - you are actually talking about a group of three muscles and injuries are graded 1 - 3 with the latter being the more serious.  Grade 3 expect to be out 4 - 6 weeks or longer -- must not be rushed.    Expect we'll be told more after an MRI but hopefully just a pull.

And just for the record.....posters in here were falling over themselves to get kent signed after the legia game so we could throw him in against the papes....12 days after we signed him people are now questioning playing him today!!!!

emm, people didn't know the level of fitness until a recent interview when he said he'd been keeping fit himself at Liverpool, so how the hell were people to know he wasn't ready?

fact is it has been proven that it was bad judgement to use him today, now we have an injured player and have to wait until he comes back

shite

Are you apportioning a hamstring strain to lack of fitness?

Why was it a bad judgement to use him....the logic doesn't add up as he had previously made a couple of sprints to no effect,  hamstrings go all season long at every level and fuck all to do with how match fit you are
