He's also come on a lot with getting game time and the confidence from a couple of goals. It looks like he's worth his spot in the matchday squad now. The starters (I assume your referring to the cup final team) aren’t on the bench to get 20 minutes. I see absolutely no issue with that, they have played on Wednesday and aren’t losing match sharpness in a week ffs. The desire for some on this board for the first choice players to play every game up until the final is bizarre, it’s potentially one of the things that cost of the league (and potentially the UEFA Cup) in 2008 under Walter, we maybe didn’t use our squad enough and by the end of the season the players were absolutely burnt out as a result.
