Saturday's incident might have been the final straw? Was quite a big thing that he did.

If we're dropping players for games completely after picking up stupid red cards and briefing the media they are unfit and lazy, while pulling contract talks, there's going to be a few players looking for a quick exit.

And the difference between the two things you're saying makes absolutely no difference to this situation.

He gave a fluffy answer every football press conference gives, and the real story has came out when it's had to.

You're a journalist ffs

Its had to come out on the eve of a £30m game?

I think that's a fairly decent summary TBH.

What has red cards from 4/5 years ago got to do with it? Didn’t stop 16 million pound bids being placed. He was a fucking idiot on Saturday and there is no defending him but bringing up red cards from that long ago to have a go is bizarre.

Also, when things are going well nobody brings up his league record.

Who said anything about criticising him? He doesn't have to go from one extreme to another. He could have said something like: 'It's good to have him back training. He's still got a way to go to getback to fitness and challenging for a place in the side."

He literally mentions in one of your chosen quotes they are monitoring his fitness and that when fit he is “one option “ for him . More or less what you have just typed out in a different way

Maybe you are that dumb.

The day before a £30million 'cup final'?

And if that is the case, I'd have to ask why he is being involved with the matchday squad recently. His involvement v Hibs suggest that there was no issues prior to the weekend.

Or that we’ve no other option and we’re hoping he’ll get it together.

He’s had plenty of leeway over the last 5 years, and got away with much more than others.

So if 'when fit' he is an option, do we take from that that Morelos has been fit since he's been involved in games?

Do we now have other options available?

Plenty players got away with more than others. Do you think Gary Bollan got to do the shit Gascoigne got away with?

People will still defend Morelos but it’s about time he got called out for his attitude no matter how good a player he is on his day

Anytime he misses a run of games and comes back theres questions asked over his fitness and his attitude is shocking at times. He didn’t look like he gave one single fuck about the sending off at the weekend

The fact that senior players have apparently backed the decision not to take him to Eindhoven speaks volumes. He was an absolute liability against Hibs and people want us to rely on him in a 30 million pound game

Gio is fucking stupid for excluding him from the squad. if Colak picks up a knock early doors, we are fucked. punish him afer wednesday FFS.

He's not stupid at all, the only stupid person here is the clown who has shafted the club yet again with his poor behaviour

Reading between the lines, something has happened since Saturday and i don't think it's a response to Morelos' stupidity in being sent off. It looks to me like there have either been words or Morelos hasn't reacted well to being disciplined.

I love the wee man, but we can't keep backing him if he is going to keep doing things that are detrimental to the club and his team mates.

I think it's more a point of, we thought you were past that, Saturday was a throwback to early Morelos which has hampered his progression.

If he slips back into that frame of mind he'll just continue to hinder himself.

We all know he should have more than just one notable bid made for him, but he's not for the reasons he's mentioned.
