My cousin was using a physio in Dunfermline a couple times a year ago due to back issues, recommended for him, as the physio supposedly doesn’t just take any clients.

he was in 2 Sundays running, and on leaving the first time, John souttar was waiting to go in after him.

he was still at hearts at that time.

the following week, he mentioned it to the physio, and the physio was obviously pretty vague, but did confirm that he was at that time a very regular client.

might mean nothing, as possibly loads of players do this, but id assume hearts would have there own Physio’s?

as soon as we were linked to him, I thought of this conversation, fearing the signing, although he was playing week in week out at the time at hearts.

we all feared this could happen.

Although Tbf, we signed amuruso, in July who was injured, and didn’t play till the following April.

ended up fine after that.

Hope this could be similar.

Said physio has a few players use his practice at East end park. Nothing unusual. In fact the very physio was Rangers physio few years back

In fairness if its a Sunday the hearts ones where probably not in so he could have easily be getting some work to ease tiredness from the game the prev day

Different physios would probably be more specialised in different areas. Sure Phil doesn't have a club anymore and is probably used by plenty of players for treatment outside of their club.

Gutted for him. Really determined to make an impact but the body gave way again. Hopefully back fully fit after the break and help us out 2nd half of the season.

Really? He looked miles off being ‘determined’ in preseason. Came back is awful looking shape and performances reflected it.

Two things here -

Souttar was never good enough, injuries aside.

While it’s fun watching @DiamondDan getting bitch-slapped around this thread, it wouldn’t surprise me, in the least, if we weren’t as thorough as we should have been when assessing his previous injuries and the potential for re-occurrences.

Why was he ever signed? You wouldn't buy a car with a breakdown history like his.

Also hearing rumours that the medical checks undertaken by Rangers were far from industry standard.

Making Alan McLaren or Daniel Prodan look like decent investments in comparison.

Talking utter shite basically

Probably, but equally so much of Rangers is a shambles, would our standard of medicals, assessments and treatments being pish really be a surprise?

The evidence points toward its being awful. Anyone with a brain knew Souttar was incredibly injury prone.

"but but he's a proven scottish international player on a bosman, thats a fucking bargain"

Honestly the people on here that spouted that bollocks in jan, when it was fucking obvious souttar was gonna cost us a fortune for fuck all,

Fucking embarrassing signing, internationalist or not, souttar is likely on 5 figures a week and gonna rinse us dry for 4 years and he'll likely be as injured as helander

Brutal signing that a few of us predicted,

Very few posters are reading all of that on a Friday Barry mate.

I gave it a go.

Most could see it apart from anyone at the club. Heads should have rolled for that one alone.

Do you not remember the thread on here

Cunts were saying he'd be first choice centre half and shit, then after the cup final when he needed craig gordon to take him to ET against a strikerless rangers side, up against a guy who was finishing a 60 game season, people couldnt stop raving about him

A disaster of a signing

Were there any other clubs interested in him?

Why not?

I absolutely don’t blame Souttar, he’s found a mug to pay him for doing fuck all.

Getting caught out with one Friday afternoon lemon of a player is bad enough but we seems to have developed a habit of it.

We got so-o-o-o lucky with Goldson given his medical history but you could argue that has been offset by poor old Ofoborh who will probably never actually play.

Over 9m in wages of players injured and unavailable to contribute is fucking scandalous.
