Thats absolute nonsense, if you ask the attacking team they’ll take the game being stopped for the second yellow in that position all day long

Maybe so, but that's not how it gets refereed. The referee doesn't fail to play advantage so he can send the player off. Just isn't how the game is refereed applied. Ref simply plays any advantage if it exists.
