I get what you are saying but we have heard this all too often, players will play better when they are playing with better players, but guys like Murphy and Dorrans were supposed to be those better players to drag the rest up a level.

Not being sarcastic at all mate, lots of people on here berate Tav and John for their poor defending so if we replace them with good defenders who concentrate on that then Murphy would be pretty hopeless given that he is being excused by some because Halliday doesn't offer as much attacking support.
For me that is all it is, an excuse for an underperforming player who people had much too high expectations of because he played in England, i remember the line "he's only been kept out by a 15million pound player" etc etc.
He wasn't good enough for Brighton and hasn't shown he is good enough for Rangers. The fee is rumoured to be as high as 1.8million.

Being honest am surprised by Murphy's lack of quality considering the level he's played at..

Fuck all those people that are ashamed to say they say they support Rangers. One of my main annoyances in life is watching someone struggle to tell someone new that they support Rangers and almost apologising for it

He gets it though regardless of form/technique if you stand up and never hide go and take the game to your opponents and win your individual battles

First touch and concentration need work but he’s a young lad and those can be worked on, good job we have one the best midfielders to ever kick a ball coming as manager.

Probably better than Foderingham but we need better.  Goalkeeper and 2 central defenders should be our number 1 priority this summer. 

I'd be happy to give him the no 1 shirt. His distribution is much better than fods and I feel more confident at set pieces when he comes to collect it.

You can take a winner and put him in a poor team, doesn’t mean that player is now a loser. Also you can take a player who nobody ever noticed, put them into a good team, and that player will be a winner all day long. 
There are potential players in the Rangers team provided they are match fit and ready to play in their best positions for a manager who they can believe in. Ranieri and Leicester City cannot be called losers.

I heard Danny Murphy talking about SG yesterday. He suggested that SG wouldnt go for it unless he was sufficiently backed financially.
He said he would only come up to be number one as thats the way he thinks. I get the feeling he fancies it but wont do it unless the board guarantee what he thinks it will take........i guess we will find out if the board is up for the challenge or not?

Doubt they will be reinstated. 
This would look like another LeGeun/wee Bazza scenario with players getting the manager horsed - this would send out wrong message to any prospective Managers 

I don't think he's dragging his heels mate, he's well within his rights to take a few days to a week to think about it and find out if King is being legit or he's distorting the truth in terms of available budget.
He's not gonna come up here to have the arse ripped out of him IMO.

I think we will know one way or the other about investment by whether gerrard takes the job or not. If he does then there surely must be money coming from somewhere, he would have to be insane otherwise, and I don't think he is. If he knocks us back then we will know its the same old pish.

In theory I think most of us would be all for it. They can't be any worse and the current first team don't deserve to be playing.
However it would be an incredible ask of the young boys. If they were to play badly and get hammered it could have a detrimental impact on their progress. It could also be unfair to throw the poor young boys in at the deep end, in tough games and expect them to produce huge performances.
I guess my view would be somewhere in between. I would blood a few of them and see how they handle it.

Players can be physical and competitive without having to commit dodgy tackles or risk getting sent off.  We lack the type of physicality and competitiveness in midfield to make a real fist of it and so we're overrun by a better team.  We need better players or it'll just continue in to next season.  I'd have two big commanding CDMs in the heart of our midfield next season to make sure we win the midfield battles each time we play.

Puma having to give us standard stock tracksuits with our badges heat pressed on the wrong side at the last minute is a direct consequence of King and Whitney encouraging fans to boycott the buying of merchandise.

Not this time. Will be paying game by game until I see a real difference. This board is killing our club and handing them ST cash without any evidence of how they intend to use it, is just enabling them.
If everyone else does renew, as is their right, then at least next season I won't be regretting paying for that pish.
