Fabio Silva: On-loan Wolves forward 'loving' being at Rangers and open to longer stay
    By Kheredine Idessane

Fabio Silva would be happy to formalise a longer term move to Rangers if it were solely up to him.
The on-loan Wolves forward, 21, has scored four goals in 13 appearances since joining Rangers in January.
The Portuguese had joined Wolves from Porto for a reported £35m in 2020 and has previously been loaned out to Anderlecht and PSV Eindhoven.
"I'm loving being here," he said after scoring Rangers' second in the 2-0 Scottish Cup win over Hibernian.
"I don't control these things 100%. It's not 100% my decision to stay, if it was up to me then maybe yes. But I could say 'yes' and then you have a lot of things still to be taken care of.
"Perhaps I have the least input into whether I stay here but we have two months to enjoy the football, to win titles and I think after that, if we win trophies and everything goes well, Rangers and I will do everything for me to stay.
"When you see me playing with a smile on my face, I think everything's going the right way. I enjoy playing here, playing for the fans, the staff, my team-mates.
"It's a pleasure to be here. I enjoy it a lot. I've been trying to get back my happiness and they're giving me that."
Silva set up Rangers' second in their 2-2 draw with Benfica in Thursday's Europa last 16 first leg, with the forward having spent part of his youth career with the Lisbon team.
"If you win, it's a big step in the competition. You're through to the last eight," added Silva.
"For Rangers, for everyone, it's a big step. For the club, for the players - everyone wants to be on this stage. So we'll be ready for Thursday. It's going to be a good game, these games are always special. At Ibrox, even more so.
"We have a lot more games left in our journey. Everyone has to switch mindset to be ready to play as we want to be in all the competitions. After the game against Benfica, we all spoke together in the dressing room. We tried to say this to everyone, we have to have this ambition in all the competitions, not just in the Europa League.
"In Europe, it's easy to have that mentality because everyone wants to play those games. You don't need motivation to play those games. We can do brilliant things this season. "

He will be in the conversation for best loans we’ve ever had come the end of the season.

Don’t think we can afford to risk starting a game without Lundstram atm, he’s just so pivotal to our game.

Why don't you go down the White House and ask Joe if you can watch it in the Oval Office...the old cunt will be asleep anyway.

Give him a prod every now and then to make sure he's not dead/

I often get asked if I enjoy my work as a Football Agent.

Of course, there are times when it’s incredibly mentally and physically challenging. Much like a player, but in a hugely different context.

But there are times when it’s the best, and I mean the best job in the world. Just like last night:

Benfica v Rangers in Lisbon, last 16 of the Europa League 1st leg - which ended, against the odds, 2-2 with Benfica coming from behind twice (with two gifted goals from Rangers).

Dujon Sterling, who as many know, I have looked after for 9 years since 15 years old, scored his first senior goal in 137 attempts (I’ve probably watched most of those games!) What a goal, what a new memory. An many also know, in 2020, Dujon’s career was so nearly ended by a sudden illness, that kept him out the game for 10 months.

What struck me as it went in, standing on my own amongst 3,500 delirious Rangers fans, was what it meant to so many others.

To Dujon: it was his reward for the battle he won in 2020 and never giving in.

To his Mum: a moment that emotionally rewarded her for the countless hours since he joined Chelsea at 6 years old for her love and support every step (or run) he made.

To the coaches and staff of various clubs/ England (to many to name): a wonderful sense of joy for Dujon knowing his journey and the part they played at some point. My phone went crazy as he scored.

To everyone at Rangers (staff/teammates): it’s a team effort from start to finish and a measure of the hard work put in by all.

To those partners behind the scenes (the boot companies, the lawyers, accountants, concierge, insurance, mortgage advisors, barbers, car salesman (endless list!) who know Dujon.

To the media/ journalists: you know who you are and who have never doubted his ability and spoken about it.

To the fans past and present: an unreal bond through thick and thin. Rangers love him coz he gives 100%. He is an elite talent. The fan next to me last night was drunk with a thick Glaswegian accent. Couldn’t understand a single word for 90 mins but when Dujon scored he jumped on me, hit me in the stomach and kissed me 😂 another very special moment.

To Dujon’s close knit friends, in and out of the game: you never doubted.

To my wife, family, friends: thank you for understanding and being there. Countless messages as the goal went in.

To my other clients/ their families/ colleagues: again loads of messages/calls sharing the happiness of the goal.

Football is the biggest sport in the world. It forms part of the wheel of life for so many, for most of their lives. It’s a tough workplace for all involved.

But moments like last night, make it so, so satisfying….and enjoyable 😉

Have a good day everyone. And never stop believing ⚽️ 💙

P.S. in the 2nd leg next week Benfica will experience Ibrox at its firey best. Can’t wait. ✔️

I agree. He showed glimpses of genuine quality during the match that we've not seen in our squad for a long time.
He looks like he could be a huge player for us.

Wait till he starts filling out a bit he’ll be like an ox in that midfield.
Has a great talent of putting they lanky legs in and taking the ball away from an opponent when he has no right. Also stronger than he looks, think our coaching staff will build him up a bit over the summer and create a monster
Boys got EPL writing all over him imo hopefully we get a good 3/4 years out him first

The turn around in Ridvan has been remarkable. Deserves all the credit he's getting. He's injected energy and quality into that left side which it was sorely lacking.

Would have taken that result before kick off, could have been a lot worse given we're down to the bare bones but were it not for Goldson's inexplicable cock up could have been a hell of a lot better. The ties still completely in the balance, both defences pretty ropey and they'll create chances at Ibrox.
Hopefully Roofe will somehow stay fit as he showed straight away his game intelligence and awareness is far superior to Dessers and he could be the difference between a good season and a great one.
Special mention to Ridvan, thought he was immense and him, Sterling and Diomande are going to make us a fair wedge of money when they're eventually sold.

That Goldson header is absolutely fucking criminal when you watch it back. He really struggles in pressure moments I think.
