Thank fuck I got my football fix watching our under 16's hammer the Scum today.

Wasn't sure that I wanted to watch what are presumably 14 and 15 year olds kicking a ball around but I am glad that I did. Both sides well coached with real talent on show.

Mine seems to be a minority view but I will welcome Hagi back. Someone who can see the killer pass against a 10 man defense plus shoot himself from outside the box can only benefit the team.

If Gio was to go he would have gone by now so I reckon that the board are standing by him and putting the shit football we see every game down to the injury situation.
All rather depressing. 

To be honest I do not care who we bring in to replace Gio as long as it's on a 1 year rolling contract to begin with. An end to big pay offs.
Whoever takes the job has the rest of this season to show what he can do.  If we can see progress then he gets another year. If not we have the summer to recruit someone else.

I have run of patience with Kent.
Glance at the bench shows little there but changes must be made. Gio will do a Gio and wait until 70 mins at which time he will make the wrong subs. Morelos for Colak at HT would be a start.

Squad don't look as fit as last season. The fight we showed last season has gone. Clear to me that the squad don't buy into his tactics.
If the board are actively seeking a new manager but won't say anything until they are ready to announce then I might cut them some slack but rot starts at the top when any business goes into decline.

When Gerrard upped sticks I was delighted when we brought in Gio. An explayer who has featured in CL finals and WC finals, won something in Holland. Just the chap needed I thought.
With all the positives I did not look for flaws nor did the board. His playing career was excellent. His managerial career should have set off alarm bells. Unpopular in Holland then a disastrous year in China and thereafter unemployed until we came knocking.

Sands and Tillman, assuming the future fees aren't too high. 
They're the only ones with any sell on value, plus their still young enough to become regular starters for the US national team. 

Gio has regressed us to the point where I give up on this season.
Internal promotion to the end of the season for the B team boss would do me. Even the return of Murty would raise a cheer.

For as long as I can remember we have been banging on about clearly incorrect decisions. VAR gives officials the chance to have a second look and on the whole it appears to be working.

4-1 flattered sheep. When all the negativity is removed from our play and the squad are allowed to play their way we are a joy to watch. 
High press and always playing the ball forward between lines is the way to keep opponents on the back foot. Too soon to say that Gio has turned the corner but he now has food for thought. Nothing wrong with our squad when they are allowed to express themselves.
Ajax next and why 5-0 or so is not going to happen put aside if we set about them in the same way I can see us getting a bit of respect and the 3 points.
