I get folk might not like Beale but to belittle him at every point is tedious.

Also proved wrong everyone who said we'll be much worse by playing him.  We really need to get over this belief that playing our own youth players will make us a weaker team.
Surely no one still believes that bringing on a youth player instead of Morelos would've made us worse for example or bringing on a youth player instead of Arfield would've seen us losing.

Fashion is not a good footballer but I would keep him as a squad member. We need a whole new forward line for next season and I can a role for him coming on from the bench from time to time.

Barring Kent and Morelos I thought the rest of the squad tried their best and I would give pass marks to if only for their fight and effort.
Let's see what happens in the summer as this season is well and truly over.

Beale is a rookie manager but for me beyond criticism until this time next year.
He walked into a shambles and has to be given another couple of windows to bring in his own players. Then we can judge. 

There's merit in not getting too bothered either way until signings are confirmed, given most of the chat is nothing more than speculation.

0-0 away to sheep at is not a disaster at HT. Time to turn this around.

Whilst I hope, as you say, we pump them (something bothers me about pumping sheep mind you) a win, good performance and positive attitude with a mind to next Sunday is what we should be looking for today.

I have argued against the split for years. Makes a nonsense of teams playing the same number of home and away matches. The 14 team league with a 6/8 split at least addresses that inequality.
My personal preference is 18 teams playing each other home and away. 

For me all of those out of contract must go. If Beale can unearth 4/5 players of the quality of Raskin and Cantwell then bring on next season.

My attitude will probably change come Sunday but right now I could not care less about this game. In fact I would probably play kids and make sure that we have no more injuries to first picks before the semi. The game that matters.

It’s just quite sad that we still have to carry guys like Arfield. Bench should be for guys who are competing for a first team place, signings with potential-cheap hit/miss type, loan with option to buy and young players like Lowry coming through. You sort of want a mix of those 4.
There’s not a world where we should be relying on a 35yr old Arfield when we already have Lawrence, Lowry and Hagi not playing at the moment for that role.
Especially when Beale doesn’t seem to want to play him. He’s played 50 minutes in our last 10 league matches. And only going to be less when Lawrence is back and Lowry playing more
Would prefer we let him leave and took a punt on a youngster that the scouting team have identified. Given he’s going to be 3rd choice for the position it’s not costly if it doesn’t work out
 

It's in Europe that I expect to see the best of him. If he wants to stay then its down to the board to find the cash to settle up with Bayern and a 5M fee does not strike me as unreasonable.
I hope that he is still with us next season.

Both Kent and Morelos have run their race and ought to be moved on. My fear is that they are planning on doing a 'Goldson' and resigning in the summer if nothing better turns up.
As part of the refresh/rebuild they both have to go.
