The commission appointed by the Scottish Premier League to investigate alleged undisclosed payments by Rangers will not strip the club of any titles.

The company that formerly ran the club have been fined £250,000 by the Lord Nimmo Smith-chaired commission.

It was appointed to decide if the 'oldco' company broke league rules.

The investigation relates to the period between 2000-11 when Rangers operated employee benefits trusts (EBT), the subject of a long-running tax tribunal.

A full written decision is expected at noon on Thursday.

HM Revenue and Customs had claimed the EBT scheme, which was used to make £47.65m in payments to players and staff in the form of tax-free loans, was illegal.

Rangers disputed this and a First Tier Tax Tribunal ruled the scheme did not breach tax law.

HMRC has subsequently appealed to an Upper Tier Tax Tribunal.

Rangers won the SPL five times after initiating EBTs for players

Some of the outbursts from t'other side are getting a little further towards men in white coats than even I thought they may be....

"The police are involved and told the enquiry not to strip titles for fear of civil unrest"

"Spartans got kicked out the Scottish Cup for ineligible player" (missing the point that SFA govern Cup, SPL the Commission..."

"LNS is a mason" (a bit predictable)

And my personal favourite so far:

"What does a Law Lord know about football" (when they would have been completely happy to accept any more drastic decision made by self same Law lord.....)

No titles to go is brilliant but we must not forgive or forget how we have been treated by the so called guardians of scottish football, the vast majority of the media,SPL chairmen and non Rangers supporters. All accusations made against us have one by one been proved to be unfounded and yet we find ourselves sitting in the 3rd division having suffered numerous sanctions/punishments.The Rangers, club and supporters, must now move on with more determination, desire and hopefully unity to return us to where we belong at the top of Scottish and european football whilst ensuring we keep a close eye on those who wish us harm.WATP.

WE should be prepared for the usual suspects to take anything they can out of the written verdict, so im expecting "morally wrong" to be the soundbite of choice from cuntgrove, britney and the rest of the lowlifes who had us guilty as charged. I am also now feeling a great sense of ANGER.. anger that it was allowed to go this far and long, and anger at FUDS who accused us of "financial doping"??.. We should NEVER FORGET OR FORGIVE THOSE whom took such pleasure and joy at kicking and telling LIES about our club.

Really looking forward to the statements from Rangers, Traynor,Green and Super Ally should not hold back, they should give it both barrels then reload and shoot again. Verbally of course..
