cumnockbear 2,446
It's not a sponsorship. Only that we'll be selling their products through hospitality. In that this will only be once every couple of weeks August to May, it isn't really that big a deal for us or for Heineken. We must be making some money through this though ? or it would be a pointless exercise. The Godfather 72,400
Much we getting?Free pints after games for squad and staff. Some official glasses and T shirts too I'd wager
Sore Heid Bear 85
Heineken will be paying us for the publicity/exclusivity, but I'd guess high tens of thousands/low hundreds of thousands. Small beer. But it's just good to hear of normal business activity. All good.
TheQueensEleven 1,355
Sad that people are creaming over this.Maybe now we can win the championship with this news..... Why wouldn't people be happy with a new partnership.

BlueSuedeSambas 54,226
This is barely newsworthy IMO.
don logan 8,077
As most of the beer and cider distributed at Ibrox comes with the ticket price, it's likely that Heineken have undercut the current supplier so the money made will be the saving on this. Heineken have probably also taken hospitality facilities (if they didn't already have them).

bombaybadboy08 15,660
I think it is since there's a big fuss when the board so much as breathe the wrong wayThe truth is, this is a smokescreen to disguise the fact we've sold Auchenhowie to Heineken and are leasing it back. That information came from a guy I know who drinks Heineken every week
Beaujolais 1,371
Pleased to see another piece of positive news. We are gradually building commercial momentum.
BlueSuedeSambas 54,226
I think it is since there's a big fuss when the board so much as breathe the wrong wayI don't get involved in all the boardroom shit, as far as I'm concerned both sides of that argument are as bad as one another. However something that is likely to amount to no more than a change in the beer we dish out in hospitality is barely newsworthy on the grand scale of things. If anything it just shows how petty both sides are when things as small as this are being used to praise/discredit the board. Gandalf the Blue 1,384
One of my favourite lagers. When I was in Dublin with the Mrs, this was the most popular drink after Guinness.

Any money is welcome money. We can't all have failing banks and corrupt local authorities bank rolling us.
plymouthranger 3,902
Probably the best mass produced bottled beer on the planet.
ElBufalo20 7,929
It's a none story. It's basically bar announce decision to sell Heineken. No sponsorship and no extra revenue.
Ozblue 4,331
I'm quite happy with that.Been to the brewery in Amsterdam.Bought the glass.Bought the pint.Didn't bother with the t-shirt. You can't use it for drinking.Aye, Oleg; I gave the T-shirt the bodyswerve but by fuck I gave the Heineken big slaps every time I was in Amsterdam. For anybody who likes a great day out with a few beers chucked in for good measure, I would highly suggest doing the Heineken Experience on the Stadhouderskade

Tartanmack 3
In the grand scheme of things it may not be "newsworthy" but it's a step in the right direction that big company's want to be associated with us Who knows what other deals they may have in the pipeline for us
Bears r us 30,899
With the shite that is printed on a near daily basis about our club, I will take any positive news going with open arms, even if it does not mean a great deal.
