It's ironic that we hated them the most through the 90s/00s . One of the few clubs, who really haven't made a mark on us since we were put to the bottom division .

Our record against them in last 30 years is astonishing . Our record since our return is fantastic .

I once remember many years ago looking at the stats . They were one of 2 clubs that had a better home record against us, than ourselves away to them.

After checking this morning . We are now something like 48 wins to their 41 at their place since  PL started

The taigs have beat them 9 times in a row but that obviously isn't a problem , as they do that almost every year against them.

Its the thing in Scottish football I still don't get. Every club and its fans hates us with every fibre, which suits me, but there is a love in with the taigs. Makes me think the taigs have something over the rest of Scottish football

What has the loving cup got to do with a game, some people really need to get a life outside football.

THE Directors of Rangers and Aberdeen will take part in the traditional Loving Cup ceremony in the Blue Room ahead of tonight’s match.

Found within the Ibrox Trophy Room, the Cup is one of only thirty cast from a unique mould to commemorate the coronation in May 1937 of Their Majesties King George VI and Queen Elizabeth.

The story of how it came into Rangers’ possession is part of the club’s folklore.

Identical Loving Cups were presented to the 22 English First Division clubs of the time, with the others going to the British Museum and various organisations.

Back then, as now, Rangers were recognised as one of the world’s great clubs and so it was that they were asked to participate in a special match to raise funds for the dependents of the miners who lost their lives in the Holditch Colliery Disaster in the Stoke area.

Manager Bill Struth accepted the invitation immediately and Stoke City President, Sir Francis Joseph, presented Rangers with the last of the Loving Cups after the match which finished goalless.

His one request was that the vessel should be used in perpetuity to drink to the health of the reigning monarch prior to the club’s first home match of every year.

So it is to this day, the New Year toast is celebrated in the Blue Room by the assembled directors and guests of Rangers and the visiting team at the first home game of the year.

A promise kept :UK:

The Loving Cup ceremony is to commemorate the deaths of 30 men who died in a tragic incident which occurred at the Holditch mining Colliery and to celebrate footballing friendship.

It's a tradition that dates back to 1937 and no visiting club has declined to take part in that time.

What sort of supporter would want their club to boycott the commemoration of working class people losing their lives under such tragic circumstances? The very same supporters who take joy in singing about the Ibrox Disaster.

The Aberdeen support don't deserve success in the league as they are not worthy. They consistently bring shame upon their club and Scottish football and deserve all the ills that befall them.

Great post. ?

Someone find that cunts dummy and ram it the fuck back in his mouth. Boohoo. Aberdeen might've been second best all this time OK. That's only because we were in the lower leagues. It was always either us or the kiddy diddlers who won the league and Aberdeen would have to be happy with 3rd at best. Us being out the league has went to their head. They must have loved thinking to themselves that they're the 2nd best team in Scotland.

Last season was shite for us but we got close to them. This season despite us still being shite we are currently sitting above them. If we hadn't lost against the likes of Dundee/Hamilton/Kilmarnock/St Johnstone we'd be sitting first.

Get back in your place Sheep. We're back. We might not be at full strength right now but we're getting stronger. We're aiming for #55 but the best you's can hope for going forward is 3rd place. We might only finish 2nd this season but we'll be fucking raging if we do because unless it's 1st then we're angry fucking bears. That's the difference between us and you. You finish 2nd you'll be over the fucking moon.

Superb ??
