FF re shame of the Herald Group inc the Evening Times

A good article from FF and highlights issues myself and posters have already highlighted on here regarding any article involving the PUL community or our club.

You just need to note the number of comments on these articles and the vitriol to see that their mods and editors encourage the hate, all for hits.

On Sunday and Monday I bought the five Herald Group newspapers – Sunday National, Herald on Sunday, Evening Times, The Herald and The National.  Five papers.  Not one of them contained a word about the march let alone any condemnation.  Their journalistic colleague barely cold in the earth – and they said nothing.

ORGANISERS of a pro-Union rally have been accused of trying to hide its links to the Orange Order after members were told to wave “unmarked” flags.

The Maintain the Union march is expected to bring thousands of supporters into Glasgow later this month.

Even though the Orange Order has told its members “the Grand Master has called for a big show,” the event is promoted as a “family gathering”.

It is being organised by the British Together, which describes itself as “the Grand Orange Lodge of Scotland’s campaign to keep the United Kingdom together”.

The gathering has been advertised recently in the Order’s official monthly magazine, the Orange Torch.

However, in a message in the latest issue, the Order says those attending should take care not to advertise their links to the Protestant Christian fraternity.

It says: “All is ready for the Maintain the Union rally and march on Saturday 18th May.

“The Grand Master has called for a big show of support for this public demonstration by British Together and other unionist groups.

“The Order has assisted with arrangements and will provide stewarding, but this is NOT an Orange event. No colours are to be worn and there will be no bands.

“This is a family gathering and concerned unionists of all creeds and colours are welcome to take part.

Any organisation that employs a Fenian Apologist as a local Government corrospondentlest & is Instrumental in conniving with Police & Glasgow City Council to try to curtail OO parades is an enemy.

 

As was/is the case of their sustained campaign started in the mid 2000's it started in The Gerald & filtered through to The Evening Times with tales of disorder,arrests etc yet comparative events yielded far more serious criminality but was conveniently ignored with uneccesary  authoritarian policing rather than tackling root causes of those who brought trouble with them easily solved by more robust policing of  anti social behaviour before it kicks off not after the event as was the case even then it was mostly trivial things but unwelcome amongst the vast majority who wanted to enjoy their day out.

 

Yet T in the Park events were riddled with anti social  behaviour & more serious criminality down the years but that particular media group was clearly doing the Police & Councils bidding for them.

Headline is the usual dog whistle rabble rousing. And of course the rabble is happy to be roused. The quoted paragraph explains why there’s no specific reference to the OO hardly an undercover operation

 I agree with most of the article, but I am not a fan of this statement :-

I think they need to look up the definition of 'literally'.

I think we can forget the media in general as they have all shown their hand and it isn't a red one.

Taig scum have infiltrated every institution in the land to perpetuate their agenda.

Get them out of their spheres of influence by whatever means neccessay, just as they have done to us over the last decade.

We need to get much smarter and all this is going to get much worse before it gets better.

SNPira are becoming more desperate as their followers get more frustrated. FFS, we now bear witness to the welcome of dissident IRA parading down our streets, so what's next?!

The whole of Britain is going through a seriously bad period of uncertainty with the Brexit clusterfuck and that has it's biggest impact on Ulster and Scotland, so when better for republican dissidents and their SNPira cousins to take the opportunity to exploit?

We wait to see what the next moves are from these new found allies, but none of it will be to our benefit.

Believe it or not the OED definition changed because so many people were using it incorrectly!
