When he got the ball he was hesitant and just passed it back or to the side. Not sure if it's a confidence issue or tactical since Tavernier wasn't firing them in as often as he normally does either. I'd rather both full-backs crossed it early with as much movement and pace as possible. Teams that sit in and create this "block" leave space out wide so getting it to the attacking full-backs and asking them to fire it in is essential but it didn't happen and instead we had this side-to-side shit going on. Barisic put it on a plate for Ojo just outside the six yard box and that should’ve been a goal. I can’t remember Tavernier putting in too many good balls from open play either. The goals came from corners and Barisic’s delivery from the left was more than acceptable, as was Tavernier’s from the right. These two full-backs weren’t at their best but they’re still capable of creating chances that win games. As I said earlier, I’d like to see them just fire it in constantly but for some reason they weren’t. Maybe it was tactical, maybe it was the pitch, but they’re capable of a lot more.
