The pressure

There isnt as much pressure on them as people think, 9 isnt that big, its been done twice before, if they win it this season then the pressure will be on big time

Its massively on us, we arent scoring freely, we look laboured going forward against sitting in teams and we play a system that fucking punishes our own defensive mistakes

9 is massive for both clubs, no mistake. We are under severe pressure to stop it, obviously they win it they're looking at 10. Massive pressure for us to stop it, they have a slight advantage having won the first game but i believe Gerrard and his staff have the know how and belief to win the title this season.

Really don’t see that happening. That’s a bit of a myth tbh.

You seen how quickly the celtic support turned on Lennon after that Cluj result.  A few bad results in the league and they’ll be after his head again.

Sadly, celtic are very good offensively and I just can’t see them dropping points against the dross of the SPFL.  Apparently Hibs and Hearts are shocking this year.  Kilmarnock a shadow of the team they were last season.  Aberdeen never do anything against celtic.

Whatever way it goes we will have more pressure, if we manage to take the lead in the table the pressure will be on us to stay there unlike last season after Hearts away, swings and roundabouts this season another 34 games to go both of us will drop points we just need to be there every step of the way with them.

Last weeks devastating defeat aside we have started the season well. So have celtic. I don't see either side dropping many points. We are trying to end a decade of pain while they are going for 9 in a row. Which team do you think is under the most pressure and who will deal with it best?

Said it for years get ourselves in a position that means come the split they will be feeling it.

Richard Gough am sure has said since our 9IAR that it wasn't the pressure from outwit that was hard to deal with but the pressure and expectation from within.

They will explode with the pressure without a doubt. Failure in these next two seasons means they will always be remembered for the team that bottled 9/10

It is a defeat mate but not devastating. The Euro run coming up will take its toll on both teams, but I think we have the better squad to deal with it. They will drop points after Euro games. We need to make sure we don’t drop as many to the dross of spfl. We also have Kent back which in itself is a huge boost.  👍 Got to be positive.

They’ll drop points, probably when they’re 10+ clear.

When was the last time they succumbed to this pressure they apparently can’t handle and bottled the league? Helicopter Sunday? 14 years ago?

If we don’t beat Livi we can already kiss the league goodbye.

I disagree mate...… both sides will drop other points this season. I think whatever happens this league will go right down to the final day. Just got that feeling there is another helicopter Sunday in store...…..

Oh well, that's it then The season is fucked before its even started . No point to it really, 2nd place it is again. Agreed they are favourites but lets just concentrate on beating everyone else and see how it works out, the team we have are more than capable of doing that and the next times we play them we will surely not play into their hands with such a strange  line up and give them more to worry about.

When was last time they had real pressure?

We were on a good run under Murty, everybody buzzing claiming we’ll skelp them then win the league, they came back twice and went on to win twice.

Last season, we beat them and go within three points of them, they go 10 or so unbeaten. Rodgers leaves, Lennon in and they still don’t crumble. 1-0 down in a cup final in a treble bid, they don’t crumble.

Of the two teams only one can be called bottlers and it’s us.

False hope is all that was. We were never winning anything under Murty but we were in such a state under Warburton and Caixinha that Murty getting a draw against them fooled some into thinking he was actually the answer.

Last season after we won the New Year game.  We had just gotten the better of them for the first time in years and went level on points at the top of the table.  After the winter break our arse collapsed while they went on a prolonged winning run.

That wasn't pressure ffs.

Get ourselves within touch a point or 2behind going into final 5games they'd bottle it that's pressure

They'd bottle it under real pressure they've no had real pressure for 8years mate. Anytime we've had them under it they've cracked they will again.

1 or 2points in it going into the split we will win the league. It's about making sure we are able to apply the pressure by taking care of our business.

We haven't won a trophy in years so obviously the pressure is on us.

The pressure seems to be closing in on them in other areas which could eventually affect their game on the field.

Should be a fantastic season.

We have not been the same since we stopped training at Seamill.
