Really calm. Grass pitch, and a larger one at that than Ross County’s. Perfect for our players. Plenty of rested players with the only concern perhaps being Arfield, if he starts, given his shift on Thursday.

Our players will be aware of the rivalry to fire them up a bit, too. Jimmy Bell will have made sure of it.

0-3 to The Famous.

Jim Spence, that well known bluenose, wrote in the Courier this week that anyone putting money on United was throwing their money away.

Even Rangers haters like Jum expect a comfortable win for us. They’ve scored twice in their last four games, a 2-1 win over the mighty Accies. Last time out Livi turned them over.

I share the nerves some of us are feeling but, realistically, anything less than a comfortable victory is unthinkable.

Then we can sit back and cheer on Burke and Broadfoot later on.

Of course, but football doesn’t work Like that. We could ‘afford’ to lose on Thursday, we can’t on Wednesday

Understand that but honestly we have better squad players now and have enough in reserve to beat St Mirren.
