It was a red card as much as Duffy on Kent and Main on Barisic. Fucking joke if they go back an re-referee it, something they said they wouldn't be doing.

Exactly this. Not to mention Edwards on Alfie, Brown’s elbow the other night, Brown’s elbow in the first OF, Edouard pre-Christmas, Griffiths’ stamp and about a dozen other challenges that have gone unpunished in the league over the past 2-3 months alone.

The Scottish media is absolutely poisonous and goes against the very principles that journalism and reporting ostensibly exists to adhere to.  There is a one club witch-hunt and contrary to what those deluded cunts on the other side of the city think, it ain’t them.

As the ref seen it and booked him, can they do anything?

I think Morelos previously being cited raised it from a yellow to a red. I always thought too that if the ref had taken action that was it dealt with. Was originally meant for where the ref missed something but seems to have expanded the scope now.

Intent or not its 100% a red card for serious foul play under the current rules.

Not one of us would have argued if Roofe had got a red card. But that's not the point. The ref saw it deemed it a yellow. Re-refereeing games is something that was not supposed to happen. But the whole compliant process is so fucked up that they simply do whatever they want.

I am going to take a lead from the tarriers and say it is not a red, yellow given, no damage done to their player, their manager is not saying it was intentional either.

I will start agreeing with our players getting retrospective bans once all teams in the league, especially those from the piggery, get done as well, until then they can GTF. Simples. :seal:

Yeah the middle of the road purgatory we have at the moment is not ideal. Either implement VAR or leave matches after the 90 minutes are up.

How can we go from being a team that is sitting top of the fair play league with the least amount of cards to being one that requires the compliance officer to have a continuous influence in how our players are refereed! We have had 2 incidents from Morelos and now this one whilst having played almost 3/4 of the season that might of went either way, a red or a yellow, can’t think of any others.

Can't have any complaints if it's a retrospective red tbh.

Couldn't have any complaints if it was a red during the match

Can certainly have complaints if it's been seen clearly by the ref (it was), was dealt with at the time (it was) & has since been downplayed by the opposition manager.

If it's within the rules and there's precedent then none of what you're saying matters. Being seen by the ref and being dealt with at the time is completely irrelevant. It shouldn't be, IMO, but it is.

Dont think we really know what the rules are anymore, they change them that much!

However going by recent years, the push seems to be towards 'intent', if a tackle looks like it's meant to do damage to a player then they usually get punished retrospectively

Roofe's looked worse in real time, its a bad tackle but you can clearly see he's going to shield the ball and catches the guy, there's zero malice in it. As I said I could've had no complaints if he'd been sent off in the match, it looked terrible in real time but if a panel of so called 'experts' can sit down with all the footage and say he deserves a 3 game ban for it then they don't know football.
