Man United fans literally fucked off and made their own club due to the Glazers, been wanting sold for years. Green and Gold etc.

Arsenal, and Spurs fans have been wanting rid of their owners for years as well. Hardly the fault of the fans

Of course its no the fans fault, more a case of people in glass houses.

Those same fans are the same fans who belittle and slate every other league in the world though and brandish them as farmers leagues. Their league without certain teams all of a sudden looks very similar.

Some saying it could be barred under EU anti-competition laws.

I imagine that's exactly why the ESL plans include limited places for teams via qualification - to sidestep competition laws. Journalists are already reporting that the proposed financial structure of the ESL is designed to stop teams who qualify on 'merit' catching up with the founding members, though (e.g. relatively insignificant prize money for winners versus guaranteed payouts for founding members).

Fucking loving it

This will shake the tree a bit , air some grievances and untruths .

The arrogance of FIFA and UEFA or whoever they are is truly magic .

What gives them the right to tell others what to do . Shower of corrupt scum anyway .

For me it doesn’t matter if this does or doesn’t happen, each one of they 12 clubs no matter their history are absolute tin pot and not real football clubs in my eyes anymore. Feel sorry for the supporters more than anything.

Could not care less about this but what it does do is give UEFA the chance to shake up the CL.

No more 3rd or 4th place teams getting a pass to the group stages. Passes only open to champions with the rest playing qualifiers for a spot. Freshen it up and make it more competitive.

be interesting to see how this impacts on the EPL tv money from BT and sky sports....

The big question.

Affects everything from paying off existing debt to paying wages and even whether Everton can move to their new stadium.

They’ve already voted to make it worse

Hopefully it’s just an attempt to force UEFA’s hand into paying these clubs in a better way or more for the Champions League and exposure they bring and this doesn’t actually happen, in an ideal world that is. Also just realised that most of these English clubs are owned by Americans. Cunts should never have been let into the game to play monopoly and potentially ruin the history of great, massive clubs like this.

Now is their chance to make it better.

They’ve voted through changes today that make it worse, they’re not going to make it better
