This has actually retrospectively taken away some of the pain from the Europa Final.

Losing the trophy was gutting, but also missing out on the CL money was almost as big.

Taking away the nostalgia, and the big cup,,that night in Seville was really all about this......

I get where you are coming from and in the short to medium term totally agree the CL money is massive for us but I just can’t agree that as a club getting money is more important than trophies.

Yes it makes things easier in terms of transfers etc but the reason we stand so unique as a club is our history and traditions and the titles and trophies we have won.

People have said the journey is complete several times now, but this season we are playing our European football at the highest and most elite level that you can. It doesn’t get bigger than that.

I never want to hear any cunt mention “the journey” ever again.

It's been some journey tbf:pipe:

If there is one result in our history i could change its that night in Seville.

I wanted that trophy so badly, so so badly.

But Modern Football is about the £££.

It's a sad but stark fact.

Some of the richest clubs in the World have literally won fuck all in the last 10 to 15 years.

Tottenham and Arsenal are classic examples.
