bluenoz 31,270
He looks focused and has a game face on. It's not even up for debate. Outstanding tonight at that level.

PromDeAnglais 5,690
Said it to my mate tonight. McGregor being number 1 again now was not the plan of our coaching team. But McLaughlin is not good enough to be Rangers number 1. A new keeper is required when McGregor retires. For me, that should have been in the summer. GVB and the board fucked up in the summer. Extremely happy to see McGregor playing like this again but we know it's a matter of time before we need a proper replacement. Smell the hotdog 4,051
Mcgregor kept us in it 100% but can someone please explain to me why he was a yard off his line for the free kick? Did the same v Slavia, makes no sense to be off your line and give yourself less time to react? ronniescu
STRUTH82 819
An absolute fact people need to deal with, when greegs hangs up his gloves we will HAVE to accept a downgrade and let them grow into the team, please someone tell me a Goalkeeper we could snap up of equal measure for less than £10 Million....and we ain't spending that! TAA did a one step run up was one place that ball was going, his performance afterwards was exceptional tho.
Brackley Bluenose 4,479
Some of the saves are an absolute joke, no right to save them. His shot stopping is world class and that’s not an exaggeration

Two keepers in net wouldn’t have got to that free kick 😂

Drunk and disorderly. 14,665
Very quiet this thread. What happened to the "Happy to be proven wrong brigade?" We would have conceeded at least 5 if Jon McLaughlin were the keeper.

If he wants to stand on his line he has to move his wall across another yard which opens up more of the ‘middle’ of the goal and leaves him more open to TAA smashing it to either corner. Was shouting at him to get back on his line, then just before Terence Trent D'arby struck the ball, Shagger took another step or two forward. I love the crazy bastard but it's a pity he seemed to choose the wrong time to come off his line for once. No a bad game otherwise 😂

No it’s not, he was fucking chronic last season, that’s why he was dropped. Why do people and his pals in the media like McCoist last night forget that? Guest
Great performance from Greegsy last night but the GK situation is another Gio + Wilson fuck-up and shouldn't be forgotten. We're only 2 months into the season - the issues will come later in the season with Greegsy, unless we/he is incredible lucky and manages to avoid aggravating the injuries he has carried for a few years now. He was aye, but we didn't sign a better player and nothing happened that made McLaughlin a better goalkeeper than him so it is still accurate to say it's baffling Gio dropped him tbh. There's levels between the 2 of them

The free kick was a cracker but he stood probably one step too far to the side, and he nearly got a hand to it from the position he started from. but his performance last night was incredible and is levels above anything McLaughlin could produce. probably shouldn’t have got a new deal, but I say it all the time, if they are our two keepers then there’s only one number one. The save from salah was unreal RangersMedia

goaaaal 967
His saves the last few weeks have been outstanding in Europe and crucially even in domestic games since Mcglauchlin was dropped . He's still infuriating in some of the outfield passes he does but there's no doubt he is still a pivotal player to this team RFC55

Nobody is denying he is a great shot stopping keeper. The more domestic football he plays his flaws from last season will reappear with standing on his line at crosses and general mistakes. Then there will be a huge shout to get Jon in goals and he'll make a mistake and the opposite happens.
