Shouldn't have been given a deal in the summer and left with all the best for the future.

Great player in his day but the epitome of the current squad management situation.

What has this got to do with the thread topic? There's a time and a place ffs. Give it a rest.

Shame his Rangers career will likely end this way. "Rolls Royce of a player, Clive"

Agreed Jack, likely will end his playing career but might open a door in a coaching role,I think he has a lot to offer young players.

Sad there seems to be some on here happy wi his injury:sad:

He has been a fantastic player for us over 2 spells, and one of footballs good guys - look up model pro and you'll see a picture of Steven Davis.

Just having a guy like Davis around the training pitch cannot be a bad thing. A guy who I struggle to think of anything negative off the field ever happening - and rarely on it. You cannot play in midfield and have a career like his, churning out 40-50 games a season for most of his career, unless you are living the right life and are doing things right.

If it's the ACL as rumoured, well.... it is a hard enough injury to come back from for a man 10yrs younger. Sadly, it will almost definitely be over as a player at Rangers and you have to question if that's it for his playing career too.

For a guy that has went his whole career hardly ever being injured much beyond the odd knock and niggle, it is undoubtedly a cruel way to possibly end to his playing days.

Hate to see a plater leave under these circumstances, especially after all he has done over the years. However the fact Beale has come out and said he has the legs of a 27 year old and will likely get a new player/coach deal is just :megaanguish:. He has done his time and should never be given a player contract. Happy for us to have him on the coaching team.

He should not play for us again, legs like a 27 year old pulling an oil tanker even coming on as a sub. He should have gone last season and saved our memory of him as what he was.
