Wednesday 9th August. Champions League third qualifying round, first leg. Games on BBC Scotland. Kick off 19:45

Butland

Tav Goldson Souttar Barisic

Raskin Cifuentes Dowell

Cantwell Lammers

Danilo

If Yilmaz is fit then swap him and Barisic

That’s a decent line up but sadly I think he’ll start Lundstrum and Dessers and possibly Sima as they all seemed to have had a lot of game time and probably with tomorrow in mind

Did we play Olympiakos and Newcastle on a plastic pitch as well?

The excuses about the plastic pitch are tiresome as fuck tbh!

If Lundstram is starting it better be:

                      Butland

Tav   Goldson       Souttar    Barisic

                   Lundstram

         Raskin Cifuentes Cantwell

           Danilo        Lammers

Barisic as Yilmaz is out, Roofe not in squad

Out of possession Lammers drops back to a 4-1-4-1, pressing Cantwell can move up

All indications suggest Lundstram will start. I know doing pressers does not make starting written in stone, but it is a strong sign. When will we ever learn? We need goals to take to Switzerland, not a tight 1-0 win. Lundstram doesn't even play defensive midfield, sometimes he is deeper than Goldson!

He’s been horrendous for months - continuing to start him is madness

Fuck here we go

🤣

Seems I was the only one who saw him a yard ahead of the Killie defender only to be overtaken in the space of five or six yards and I don’t think Usain Bolt was at CB for them.

Said before we signed him that he’s a plodder and I would happily be proved wrong.

I noticed he was as slow as fuck too at that through ball. Lack of pace throughout the team is a concern

Borna a guarantee with Yilmaz out.

Lundstram should be dropped for Cifuentes and Danilo can replace Sima.

If Beale sticks with both it just shoes he's learned nothing from the weekend.

For Borna I would have either Devine or Sterling. Rest of the post I agree with.

Here here is plodding past Sergino Dest from well inside his own half.

I'm really apprehensive about this match give the Kilmarnock result.

It's the home leg first which I feel is a disasvantage.

They have a lot of injuries and we clearly aren't working as a unit and Beale is over the place too.

Think we will get a narrow win.
