Can’t start both Matondo and Sima, you need one of them as an option off the bench and neither offer much in possession.

Id pack the midfield, make it a tough first half then bring on pace when it opens up. They’re not a great side and likely playing their 3rd choice keeper, so we need to take shots when we can and be clinical.

               Butland

Tav Goldson Davies Borna

     Lundstram Raskin

             Lawrence
Lammers                  Sima

             Dessers

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Had this been under Gerrard, or even Gio, we’d have had absolutely no fear and be confident of a decent result.

Under Beale we’re already getting ‘be a tough game, free hit, never beaten a Spanish side since the 80s’ etc from those that are bizarrely still backing him.

Pretty sure the Spanish side stat was mentioned when we played Villarreal under gerrard

Is it OK for those who don't back Beale to say it too?

Will it be an easy game, have we a good record against Spanish teams?

Anyone can say what they like, just feel like the narrative is being set where another beating is excusable.

Seems plenty are aware how difficult it's going to be. I've not seen anyone saying if we get scudded he should remain in post.

There's arguments on what should happen to him if we drop points or narrowly lose. The more vocal critics of him seem to say that's a final straw whereas others are looking at the difficulty of this specific match too.

A quick glance on the yellow patches that were there this morning and aye that’s the conclusion that was made. Will make sure I never get something wrong again.

Well if one says there’s not thousands left and one reckons there is it’s quite a bit of a discrepancy.

one makes it a lot more dramatic than the other also

So you’d have no fear of SG or Gio, but then quote stat never having beat Spanish team since the 80’s as some criticism of fans backing Beale (no idea who that is tbf)

Can see another doing coming our way on Thursday night. Playing a team like Betis at ibrox should be relished but I've got the fear for this one

Should be going into it confident but there’s nothing in what that idiot has assembled to suggest we will have a decent campaign. High chance we lose all the away games - zero confidence in this squad. It’ll be another throw players on the pitch and hope for the best job

I don’t think we feared an absolute pumping off Villarreal under Gerrard did we?

Would rate them then higher than Betis now.

What about CL games under Gio, you’d still be confident going into this game with Gio in charge after those?

The results against and Ajax team who finished 3rd in their league?

I want Beale gone as much as the next person, but give the revisionism a rest please.
