Welcome to Rangers Permanently Oscar Cortes

Recommended Posts

If they are saying 4-5 weeks then we will probably not see him back in the squad until after Christmas.  They always way underestimate the time it takes for players to return, so may as well get used to Matondo being put into that LW position for the foreseeable. - fucking grim.

A very smart move, extended loan for Cortes makes so much sense. The transfer moves are going some little way to lift my spirits after such a disappointing end to the season. Seeing 5 move on for starters. A really strong defence with options and cover for across the season is also reassuring.

Aye mate smart as fuck.

Hindsights brilliant I guess but yeh, better a loan than if we'd bought him and then he got injured. Anyway it's only supposed to be 3-4 weeks out injured so I guess we wait and see. At the time everyone wanted us to secure Cortes and that doesn't change his potential as a player for us. And yeh, moving out all the players we have moved out is still better than if we'd kept them.

5-6 weeks means it's a serious injury. You could tell by his face.

Christmas at best before we see him performing where he needs to be.

Left wing is now a major issue.

I agree you could see on his face

We won’t see Cortes this year. 5 to 6 weeks will end up with a complication and a trip to a specialist.
By the time he ( maybe ) comes back there will be fuck all left to play for

1 competitive game in and we’re Cortes and Raskin down already

The club is fucking cursed

Its not a curse its a pattern - we sign players with injuries and our medical staff make them worse.

Race is on to see which happens first:

Focus should be on getting to the bottom of what’s going on at the club in that department.

Lawrence is the prime example. A fairly decent player who hadn’t missed a game for Derby in his entire time there. Comes here and is injured almost instantly. Has missed over 50 games in 2 years, is now wrong side of 30 and taking roughly 25k a week for the privilege.

Although it's a loan we have agreed to buy him next season so technically we have bought him.
