.Williamson. 82,582
He'll not be here until 2022 This is hopefully so we get a decent deal for him in the summer LaudrupsPatrickBoots
Marky. 6,946
A few positives. His base value now rises for example, but I do believe it hasn't been too long since his last new deal. Still, he is a quality player who, with a few tweaks, will prove to be even more crucial. True Hair Bear

Deanzmeanzheinz 4,312
Win win - he either stays for the next 4 or we get a good fee. Sack the Board! orange&blue92, Dan Deacon and RJMcGregor

bluenose244 2,618
Good news, Has his faults but like it or he's one of our best players, easily one of the best full backs in the country - if he could match his defensive work with the rest of his game he'd be the complete full back in my opinion (wouldn't be playing in Scotland though). Smile 26,610
Whatever happened to rewarding new contracts when the players getting them have achieved something, I do get that this makes our position stronger when we punt these players. the cry was no 3,035
My guess is that we will have inserted release clauses at decent fees in return for an extra 5 to 10k pw for both Tav and Morelos. WBA offered 1.8m for Tav on deadline day. At least now we can say it's 6m or whatever and pay that or piss off. Logic then dictates that if you value them at that level you pay them accordingly and everyone is happy. SG said this himself re Alfie Great business this imo

Normally it’s players agents that request/demand release clauses in contracts, it doesn’t benefit the clubs. We did tell WBA to do one, we didn’t need to sign Tav on an improved contract for that to happen. It will help us get a better fee if we wanted to sell him, especially in the last 12-18 months  but I think the fee is dictated more by the performance of the player.

the cry was no 3,035
Of course a release cause can benefit a club So Alfredo's on say 15k pw and prem team x say we'll give you 60k pw They offer us £2m and we say no and we have a seriously unhappy player who has stated he wants to play in the Premiership Get an agreement in place now that he can go (he wants to) but they must pay £10m and in return he can have a few grand more from us now Everyone wins
