Anytime we get the ball down either wing I never feel like anything will come from a potential ball into the box. Same goes for when we get a free kick near the box or a corner. It mightn't even be our crossing as such and could be that we have absolutely nobody in our team that is good in the air. How bad Lafferty is in the air for the height he is actually beggars belief. Barisic and Tav for me aren't the strongest defensively, I can accept that if as wing backs they deliver offensively. Yesterday they failed, and failed miserably, and when that's the case they offer little. Similar to shooting from outside the box, it's just so poor at times it's worrying. It's basics to cross a ball into a particular area or hit the target from 18 or 20 yards but often multiple players fail to do so. Yet our crossing assists figures show we are capable of good deliveries. Our inconsistency is killing us, but when there's so much inconsistency in doing some of these basics it's no wonder we drop points.
