I'm now living with the belief that he will play in and score a min of 5 goals in every remaining game, finishing the season as top scorer. Anything other than that will be viewed as failure on his part.

Had a great night last night at an amateur boxing event at the Swindon Meca. My boy (17) had his debut bout, was third fight on the undercard and had a convincing win. Was a fucking awesome night.

Those of us living in England are still free to hate away, right?

Unless the weather was radically different 4km away, then it was wet on Saturday and into Sunday, but it was hardly out of the ordinary.
Looking at the local MET office data, 8mm of rain fell, again.... it's a wet night but nothing out of the ordinary.
Weather happens, there will be occasional weather postponements with rain - no matter how good the ground staff are, or how good the pitch is. If it rains hard enough, the game will be off.
But.... I do think it's disappointing a top flight professional team are getting games called off for waterlogged pitches after what was a normal wet weather day. Whilst walking the dog at 8.30am on Sunday, I can't say that I was thinking "the game today might be in danger".
That's some eyesight you have!

scenes when he scores a minimum of a hatrick every game, sometimes more, but on the final game of the season, only gets 2 goals, so no contract extension.

he's basically the golden nugget of the squad

what if he was to stay fit for the remainder of the season, scoring a barrel load of goals, helping to secure the treble, would people be against him being offered a 6 month extension, with caveats inserted stating if he breaks down again then everything is over, but if he stays fit and keeps scoring, then another 6 month extension next Jan?

Has anyone tried blowing a hairdryer over the surface to dry it out?

It's more a case of I'm still dismayed that southgate has a job in football, he's about as much use as tits on a bull.

What would be good is if someone from within Rangers replied to hivs statement with something along the lines of "we wholeheartedly agree that there is no place for sectarianism and those singing that horrible song about the former head of the Church of England being in a box should be banned immediately" and see what they say then!

VAR may work better if it is done along the same lines as rugby. Replays shown on the big screens, with the refs mic'd up so everyone in the stadium and watching at home can hear their discussions. Ref gives his initial onfield decision, review video footage, var ref gives his input and then a final decision made. Would certainly put an end to any conspiracy talk.

Eddie must be wearing the same brothel creepers that De Niro wore to make him look taller in "The Irishman" .... or he's had leg extensions fitted .... 😛
Normally he's the same height as Alvis sitting down.

Forced perspective, Alves is sitting closer to the camera, that's all

He's welterweight at the moment, but wants to bulk up as he gets older, only 17 atm.
We had a great night, although his mum was in tears when the MC came out for the first fight and struggled quite badly until our boy came out and bossed his fight.
Thankfully I was still suffering from a bad MS relapse, so I was unable to leap around like I wanted to. We bought VIP tickets, so were right up close to the ring
