I can, was actually looking forward to seeing Grezda in action until todays news (yesterday now) but now he isn't playing I have lost interest. Might put it on after the gym or something.

Daily record 5 Things we learned
1 Kieran TIernay is really good
2 The midfield ie Mcgregor and Mcginn did fuck all wrong
3 If ryan Jack hadn't fucked up at the 4th goal the first 3 wouldn't have happened.
    4 Its Mcleishs fault
5 Belgium wish Tierney was Belgish. Fact.

I think he'll be a cracking player for us. It will be good to see him get a consistent run in the team instead of coming in and out due to the early Europa ineligibility

Played the whole game for the world cup finalists. Pretty good by any standard.

Whichever way you go those on most points should get the tickets. It will be a scandal if someone on nil points gets a ticket before someone on points simply because they are filling Thomas cooks pockets. And I say that as someone on nil points. As has been said hopefully Rapid are out of it by then, with their attendances they don't seem like they would fill their ground if that's the case.

Plenty on here were saying before the game in Russia about how it might effect the team today with regards to tiredness . We ended up playing that game with 10 men for an hour and 9 men for half an hour. Now, apparently , that is irrelevant and had no bearing on the game today.

Did we show them too much respect...probably.
It was obvious SG didn't think we had the legs for the high press and so we deliberately sat off them and were hoping to keep it tight and hit on the break.
Bad luck our best player so far this year was out, bad luck we had a particularly punishing Euro trip on Thursday night.
While we rode our luck at times but for yet more poor refereeing decisions the plan may just have worked.

In terms of numbers, maybe, but not really. Several of those are loan signings, and a lot of the squad from last season has been moved on. We'll need to continue to improve the squad in January and next summer as Gerrard was able to get the spine of his team, but there's still no strength in depth in certain areas. The number we've brought in without having a squad that's almost as strong as celtic's just shows how poor recruitment was under previous managers.

Some rapid cycling mood swings on this forum.  From “going to sweep all before us “, to “totally shite” and back again.   Time to knuckle down,  we are an improving work in progress side, going in the right direction, no more, no less.

I think he set up this way due to fatigue from the ufa game. It’s the only reason I can think of. Let’s hope Gerrard and the lads get in about them at Ibrox from the off

A lot of the players looked heavy legged today. Thought Candeias would come on earlier and think Halliday would of been worth a shout. Kent and Ejira looked done midway through the second half.

We lost 1-0 to a celtic team that were trying like fuck, having played with 9 men in the arse end of Russia on Thursday.
    Bit of perspective is needed.

Steven Gerrard today played the same tactics Walter Smith deployed for years against them in their dump of a stadium.
Better Rangers teams have gone there and lost. Not least, a few days after a 5000 mile trip to fuck knows where, where we played with 9 men.
Folk need to get a grip on here.

With two sitting midfielders, we found it hard to break through whenever we got the ball.
I’m always a fan of having two holding players allowing for one to have way more freedom.
The players we have don’t allow for that and I think we missed Coulibaly.

Two last minute goals and a very leggy performance after playing 30+ minutes with 9 men only 3 days ago half way around the world. I'm not worried yet for this season.

MurrayWilson reacted to the cry was no in Coulibaly - what the f*ck is wrong with him!?
He was the victim of a shocking tackle by a tarrier bastard who will be delighted he has been unable to play since. I hope I'm wrong but it has too many similarities to the Dorrans and Jack situations where they were assaulted on the field to little furore and the injuries went from being "knocks" to much more serious in the weeks after. We should be screaming about these things in the media

Sorry to repeat myself guys but the tackle was a shocker and we really should be screaming about it.

Far too much like Dorrans and Jack scenarios and pure and simples a fucking shocking tackle.

Coulibaly has been missed so badly

But area councillor Ricky Bell hit back and said: “It can’t be that hard to find out who is organising it. You could start by asking the guy at the front of the march holding the megaphone.

“It’s exactly what was said after the first one in March before the Old Firm game. The same type of behaviour has taken place again outside an old folks’ home.

“There’s been some fairly severe action taken against fans of other clubs in the city, but I think we’d like to get assurances that you are doing something here.

“It’s not acceptable just to allow this to go on as a permanent fixture within the football calendar in and around the Ibrox and Cessnock area.”

Hmm wonder what team this guy supports eh?

What exactly are they going to charge them with.?
Walking to a stadium is surely not illegal. Neither is chanting for the most part.
There is a concerted effort to portray Rangers fans as hooligans which the media is only too happy to help out with.
There always seems to be tims on hand to film it all and get it off to the media.
The silly fuds dont realise it wont be Rangers in trouble it will be ALL clubs.
They tried this before with the sectarian singing and chanting laws and it backfired on them when more of them got nicked than ours.
Its not that our games are any different, its just nobodys filming them or making up stories about sandcastles and bottled weans.

I think a lot of people understandably are sceptical of the director of football role as it can potentially undermine the manager and cause conflict and division. However the huge benefit of having one has meant that even before Gerrard came in we had already done the groundwork on a number of players and it seemed it was just a case of Gerrard giving the acquisition of certain players the nod. Without Allen being here Gerrard, as good as he may be, he would have been so far behind in the recruitment process and we may have missed out on some players. Therefore even if the manager changes having Allen here keeps that consistency and we avoid missing out on certain targets.
Allen has completely revamped our scouting process and was also instrumental in bringing in Gerrard. On paper he seems to be doing a really good job and IMO deserves credit especially as many have been wary and critical of his appointment. In fairness to him the timing of his appointment meant he was always going to struggle to make an immediate impact as he was appointed after Pedro when it should have been the other way round. Pedro then seemed to have full reign of who came in without any influence from Allen. Effectively he was working with one hand tied behind his back.
Now he fully has his feet under the table I think we seem to be seeing the benefits a decent director of football can bring. Without him I don't think we would have been as prepared in our recruitment process and ready for our European run. We may have lost out to guys like Arfield, Katic, McGregor etc although there is an element of guesswork on my part. However if you're not aware of free transfers like Arfield early you'll lose them to other teams as they'll not be short of options.
So far nothing has been achieved. It will depend on where we are at the end of the season but I think certainly we look far more capable this season and understandably we're all a tad optimistic. We've had a rough few years and it's good to have a few glimpses of the real Rangers being back. As soon as one game is finished I just can't wait for the next.

He is nowhere near as bad at reacting as is made out. Certainly no worse than a lot of other players, he just seems to get highlighted by the media when he does. No idea why, well I do really.
