G51 project. Think thats more to do with the common wealth games?

The G51 project has nothing to do with the commonwealth games (most of that money is being spent in the east end). The G51 project started as the Murray inspired £700million Casino/hotel complex. There is an updated project that includes a new cancer centre and more sustainable and community based redevelopment CG spoke about this at at least one meeting I just can't remember exactly when. What is required is an agreement by GCC to 'dispose' of some of its land to Rangers so that existing land owned by Rangers can be fully developed.

allys last game for killie was spent sat on the bench at ibrox with the whole place singing his name. Bobby Williamson lillie manager at the time said after the game that he was never gonna play him as it would have given rangers a lift not his own side.

oh right well he defo played for killie at the time.

(tu) Why was this not in the prospectus then if it's going to benefit Rangers? I remember the interview he spoke about naming rights of ibrox and rail links into ibrox etc....

He said he would like it finished for the common wealth games and would like to start as soon as possible.

It is probably the most boring of all time, but installing some forms of renewable energy sources would be a very very good investment. I would hate to think what the fuel bill is at Ibrox, but it could be taken down significantly by installing Solar Panels on the roofs, or purchasing a wind turbine much in the same was as St Andrews university has. In the long term this will make us more money. But... very boring.

Never mind lowering the pitch, that's going the wrong way.

If we take the existing level as a base, we can go up the way; have three levels, a ground floor for retail (this would cover the present area of the pitch and would be open outside match days, since you could access it from the street - need to have shitloads of security, mind you); a middle floor for access and exit and a top floor, the holy of holies, where you get out to the pitch.

No issues of drainage when your pitch is 40 metres off the deck...plus you install water collection, re-use this 'brown water' and save a bomb on Scottish Water's criminal run-off charges.

Finally, you stick an enormous self-cleaning glass dome over the whole thing, on which the logo of the competition being held can be projected; imagine that at night, the CL stars on the dome, being filmed by a helicopter. TV would love it. The Temple of the North.

Ought to be some change from £9m for that lot, I should think.

(tu) Never heard of football stadiums getting them. I don't know if Ibrox could get them listed building etc...

And i doubt they will be able to go on the copland and broomloan stands?

I would guess its because its dependent on negotiations with GCC and to be much more advanced before it would hit the prospectus. It definitely seemed a much more sustainable plan, albeit an outline, than previous ones and more suited to the area than a supercasino.

The amount of pixels that are fucked on the Govan/Copland corner screen it looked like it had xmas decorations on them

I know. That screen is pathetic. As for those who think the screens are new.... they were purchased by a conman. Think again. Anyhow lads, is it safe to move y 42 inch Samsung over to the other side of the living room or will my house collapse???????

Moving your tv won't harm your house, unless you remove the wall that it's on if it's a supporting wall.

Simples, really.

I know it's hardly important but the toilets are absolutely rank and need some attention. The toilets by the Broomy front are howlin'

When I started going, the toilets in the enclosure (£1 to get in) was four walls, no roof, and a ditch around the edge to carry away the piss.

Don't know you're born.

Some proper food would be appreciated. I'm actually shocked at how poor the food is at the stalls. The service is also very, very slow. I sit in the Main Stand and if I go to the kiosk at the end of the first half I'm lucky to make it back to my seat before the second half begins.

The Govan is very good at getting the food out because there's more stalls. The Main Stand needs more stalls and the whole stadium needs better food.

Also, I sometimes wait for 15m and when I finally get served there's nothing but those fucking Pies left. Those Pies are fucking rank. Does anyone actually like an Ibrox Pie?

Food we can eat please!

But it is a 3d TV. Surely it supports 3 walls and is integral to the structure of the house. P.S. I'd like a moving roof. For Ibrox, not my house.

I don't think he's talking about hospitality, think he's talking about the pie stalls etc. He says it's to make the fans experiences better.

Maybe we could add more Rangers murals on the walls like the one thats on the copland walls.

I prefer a copy of the murals from the Shankill. Would look particularly glorious in the Broomloan!

The time of service depends on when you go. I use to go between 17 and 25 minutes. Missed too many goals so I never bother with food at Ibrox anymore.

What is it with the amount of minks at Ibrox that smoke in the toilets? I usually have a few pints before I go to games so I'm a regular visitor and every time you go in there's some wee ned having a puff
