I actually think Gilks looks a fantastic keeper and I reckon had we signed him first, it would be wes taking the benched slot as opposed to the other way around, he looks to be very good at commanding his area, has very quick reactions and is good with his feet. Both are more than capable keepers and for once in a while we could have either of the two keepers in and I wouldn't care.

I felt he wasn't as calm with the ball played to his feet as Fod and perhaps played a few balls out in panic but as a keeper I don't fault him.

As you say, either one in goal and I'd feel relatively safe, at least if not for the centre-backs in front of them.

It was interesting to see out of all the possible teams mentioned for this game not one featured Dodoo. He's back in training and we've got to find a way to accomodate him in future games. Personally, everytime you think of Miller, think instead of Dodoo.

Anyway, looks like we've got a few good players back, maybe not at full tilt yet, but getting there. Should be  really interesting to see who MW picks from an increasingly healthy full squad.

I was thinking about going to see this in the pub, but I hurt my hip a few weeks ago and I'm not sure yet if I can take the hustle and bustle of a pub even.

Still, feeling confident after last night's result but I'll still remain cautious as these games are notoriously hard.

2-1 to the Rangers, with a good performance would make my day.

Everyone that played against Celtic was a disaster.

They were but that doesn't mean Kranjcar isn't a luxury player who is badly suited to starting this sort of game.

At places like Pittodrie you have to scrap and earn the right to play, especially in midfield. Based on what we've seen from him so far in terms of fitness do you really think he's going to thrive in a high octane, scrappy game with very little time on the ball because I certainly don't.

It would be Holt, Halliday & Windass for me every single time because more often than not you can rely on them to put a shift in at the very least whereas with Kranjcar you get a complete passenger if he decides he doesn't fancy it.

Neither miller or dodoo started last night, and it seem to work.

Oh I know that, but as we've just signed Dodoo, we'll have to find a space for him in future games.

Of course, the short time I've seen him, he wasn't setting the heather alight.

Waghorn needs to play centre forward, wasted outside the box.  I'd play both McKay and O'Halloran either side. Midfield Holt/Halliday/Forrester.

I also think Waggy has to start every game, I'm just wondering where the flip Dodoo is going to fit in once he's ready.

It seems reasonable to think of him and Garner as good subs, but I suppose we'll just have to wait and see what MW decides in his ultimate wisdom. He did sign him for a reason, although I think he's on a 4 year contract, so there's plenty time.

They're really quite bitter

Seen this pish on some facebook group doing the rounds...

"Good evening all.

Over the next day or two you may see some posters appearing around the city. Please see below and applaud enthusiastically on the 12th minute in memory of Rangers.

Please spread the word, share, like and get as many fans involved.

#COYR #Standfree #Sevco (never thought I would need a Sevco hashtag)"

If we win by a goal then we'll have scored at least two, probably three.

you're probably right, though Aberdeen aren't prolific goal scorers. I'm not sure how well this team will do in front of a hostile crowd. We've got firepower but we'll need to be clinical.

I think we got the balance spot on last night and I think Hodson deserves a lot more game time than he's getting, it was refreshing watching him bomb forward and then defend solidly. I'd still have Wallace over him just now though

Gutted about Windass pulling up in the warm up, hope he's okay for Sunday as I believe him, Holt & Halliday are the perfect 3 in there just now

Up top I'd go with McKay--Garner--Waghorn but bring O'Halloran on if needed

Just seen my ticket and I'm among the sheep in the south stand

Im confident after yesterdays performance we will beat them

I don't know how people can stomach that, I really don't.

If I don't have a Rangers end ticket, I don't go. Thankfully, for this game, I do.

what about a 442 with waghorn and garner upfront?

Start as a 4-1-4-1

Tav  Wilson  Hill  Wallace

         Halliday

MOH  Windass  Holt  Barrie

         Waggy

At 2-0 to Rangers, go 4-3-3 and bring on Niko, Senderos and Garner at the expense of who is not performing. Think Rossiter  and Dodoo still unfit.
