But those who asked someone of his obvious limited capabilities, not once, but twice, to step into the job, obviously knowing him far better than anyone on here, have a lot to answer for. Board were and still are a bunch of incompetent fuckwits giving him job to end of season after mcinnes debacle. I agree with some of that but Murty could have said "No" not once but twice. After some of his more recent statements it was clear he was totally deluded about his own managerial abilities. Not everyone who has a go at management fails at the first attempt, he could have been a success (unlikely though). What there is in football generally is a merry-go-round of serial managerial failures where they turn up at club after club and getting sacked at club after club. When is the last time we honestly seen the team put in a performance worthy of the badge? December? No matter how bad a manager you are, if you can’t get this team playing for the badge then you belong absolutely fucking nowhere near us. And before anyone says ‘aye but but it’s the players’, true they’re not faultless but the fact it’s the full squad and not just one or two says a lot more about the man coaching them and guiding them.
