***The Official Rangers V Spartak Moscow Match Thread***

To a man it was 100% effort but a lack of composure on the last third was missing. By far Morelos put the two best balls into the box. Why Coullibaly isn't throwing himself forward for a tap on is beyond me. Grezda last kick of the ball has got to at least work the keeper. Can't be to disappointed though because at no time were we outplayed or chasing the game against a half decent Euorpean team.

Poor second half looked like a team of strangers

Spartak well worthy of a point looked confartable and  more likely to score second half

Our away form has been great so far we will need to do it the hard way now in Moscow

Difference was managers , theirs knew how to change things second half , ours didnt have a clue..........

We let them get some momentum around the 60th minute and never got back to our level after that. Think Gerrard could have switched it up a bit earlier.

Coulibaly has just not been at it lately, his passing is awful.

Thought Tav was very good at the back but rarely not great going forward.

Just felt very flat the last 30.

But unbeaten and we can definitely go and get something over there.

Why no use all three subs?

Few games now Subs have been far too late.

Lafferty and Middleton should have been on at 80 at the latest

Exactly. I think even earlier. Give Middleton more time and Lafferty on too. Substitution decisions played a big part in dropping points tonight.

2 points dropped and left feeling disappointed after that but to be on 5 points after 3 games, unbeaten in Europe this season when 6 years ago we were playing Queen’s Park at home on the 20th October and won 2-0 thanks to a mcculloch double with one coming in injury time.

Yes we all feel disappointed we couldn’t capitalise on the first half dominance but we need some perspective.

They were rubbish mate - they never strung 3 passes together in our half, over the entire 90mins.

That was a tough game against a robust team with a decent goalkeeper.

Games like that need one or two top rated players to show open it up with some decent passes but although we played well none had that creative final touch.

Decent result, keeps us unbeaten, Spartak and Rapid will lose points between them, hopefully we can get 4 points in the next three games.

Lafferty was surely rested with Sunday in mind. Would've just taken a miss-timed tackle or an over stretch and we would have had no recognised strikers for the semi.

Hope you are taking the piss

Tav and Morelos have been involved in 38 goals between the two of them this season. When they are not scoring or assisting we don't score by and large - and tav had an absolute shocker tonight.

I also thought we looked really leggy from about 60 mins onwards and I hope we recuperate for Sunday
