Popular Post Smile 26,622
Steven Gerrard's men were on hand to cheer up some of their youngest supporters as they visited the children and their families at the hospital earlier today The Light Blues wore blue Santa hats as they handed out gifts to the kids alongside a £10,000 donation to the hospital. And they posed for pictures alongside some lucky young supporters in front of the hospital's large Christmas tree. Rangers starlet Ross McCrorie is no stranger to these hospital visits, having done so with the club's Under-20s two years ago. And speaking to the Daily Record, the 20-year-old admitted it was great to be able to cheer up the children. He said: "I was here two years ago, me and the under-20s. We did all the Christmas decorations. t's great to make the kids happy at this time of year. "This is a big day for them as well and if they're missing out or whatever, hopefully, we can fill that gap and make them happy." Rangers will look to stay top of the league with a win over Hibs when they face them at Easter Road on Wednesday. Gerrard's men have four games before the end of the month, culminating in an Old Firm clash with celtic on December 29. Popular Post tannerall 25,935
The money gifted is brilliant, but the real magic for the kids (and mums and dads and families) is seeing their heroes so close. When you think of all the negativy we get from the media and those with an axe to grind it's great to see the players just being fundamentally nice, and representing the club and its fans so well. Steve G has probably asked a few players to help out with Leigh's kids at this difficult period of time. Might even have asked the whole squad of 22 to try and cover it.
