If Katic was going out then we should've had another in as we all know Simpson isn't good enough & Balogun has fitness issues of his own

Not really, Katic needed to go and play games it’s unfortunate that a CB is out for a while but having Katic wouldn’t have made much difference.

Our EL squad is so unbalanced that we can only register 17 non Scottish players. High possibility that Katic wouldn’t have been in the squad either and if he was, we’d need to drop someone else out. 

Not having one Scottish CB has done us, we should be looking at someone like Soutter on a free in the summer or for buttons in January. Decent enough cover for 4th choice and helps with the homegrown quota.

It's no really and I don't think there was much said about that decision until this injury.

Goldson, Helander, Simpson and Balougun all available for two positions with the back up of Bassey and youth players. Not to mention saving all that money on wages for a full season where he would probably not have played.

We started the summer with 6 CBs, all of who could've got a game this season depending form/injuries and we're somehow into mid September another injury away from an absolute crisis.

Not even thinking about the Europa League sqaud, would be great to go through the group but this season it's all about the league

Relying on Goldson/Balogun & Simpson from now until at least January is absolutely bonkers, we're going to need unbelievable luck to get through to the next window considering Balogun's track record

And either Simpson's going to kick on and become a decent player or we should've kept 1 of Edmunson/Katic
