The board are generally going to come in to it with the points they want to put across and then either “take away for further discussion” anything that they have not thought about (eg the point about the NI busses) or give non committal answers to anything that is too close to the bone. Say someone had actually asked about the summer clusterfuck I expect there would have been a pre-prepared answer that would have outlined Wilson leaving left them in a difficult position without enough time to appoint a new DofF, Beale was supported in his targets however that did not work out and the board have now taken steps to resolve the issue through recruitment. Cant remember the figures touted for holding one but todays seemed a complete waste of money, nothing worthwhile asked and nothing worthwhile answered, we all know the board views fans as customers, they probably retreated to the boardroom for a champagne reception laughing like fuck.
