Tav's time is up.

Looks like he's checked out, not sure if he's had his heart set on a move this summer and for whatever reason it hasn't materialised, but he's looked well off it so far this season, form can fluctuate but the captain's attitude should always be spot on from the first whistle of the season.

I wonder if he was even interested in a move. Focused on his testimonial perhaps?

He's going to be absolutely targeting this season by opposition. He seems to have fallen off a cliff, you'd think he was about 37yr old and had some serious injuries the way hes plodding around.

You can already sense how toxic this could  get and how bad it could get for him.

He’s finished and by October time it’ll more than likely be as bad as when McCulloch was booed when he touched the ball.

The fans are past breaking point, and he is synonymous with the failure this club has given us the past 5 years.

Going to be a tough watch this season.  Absolutely done and seeing him 1 on 1 against any half decent winger is painful.

Yet another player we’ll keep at least a season too long, get fuckall return in any transfer and leave when it’s toxic.
Manager has to double up on wingers or it’ll cost us massively.  Other fullback position is a mess as well.

Fucking mad how many managers Tav has outlasted and every time a new manager comes in they still play him. The next manager who comes in and fucking bins him will succeed 100%.

I thought clement had the character to do so but he's also fell for his charm. Tav is finished at Rangers and looks like someone suffering from atheritus.

Absolutely atrocious defender. Has been for far too long. If Sterling isn’t fit enough to replace him then change formation to 352 and play three centre halves.

Given how chronic Tav clearly is now, its unfathomable how he is still 1. captain of Rangers and 2. still a first pick.

Pretty much every Rangers supporter knows teams are targeting him and yet he still plays and offers fuck all.

When will he realise that to stop a cross you have to get close to the player, not stand or start 10-15 yards away. Same on other side. Wingers on the touchline with all the time to control the ball, lookup and pickout a player to cross to. Tav just strolles over and puts in half hearted atempt at a block.

Just listened to his post-match interview. He’s not a confident speaker at all and his body language comes across as nervous to me. Coming out with crap like maybe we should have tested their keeper more? Maybe?! Our captain everybody!…

Clement isn’t much better. He’s mumbling along with minimal honesty about the performance too. Sounds like he’s happy to accept some players mediocre showings rather than being honest and stating he needs more from some players and they will know who they are.

Finding it harder and harder with each passing display and interview to buy into our management and leadership.

He doesn’t want to get too close to a winger because he knows he'll then  get done for pace.

If you're a defender and as slow as Tav is, you need to be able to read the game (like Davie Weir) otherwise you're fucked.

He's on the decline having peaked physically a couple of seasons ago. He can't offer us what he did without that energy. He may get slightly fitter but he'll never hit the consistency he needs, and I'd expect a few more injuries will start to creep in.

Contracted til May 2026 😒

That is so true and the team will suffer as he'll be targeted

Correct. Mr Average still stinking the place out with his loser mentality. I’m done travelling to watch us with this Captain. He should have been the first emptied.

It's going to take a miracle to get him out the door.

Every single winger in every single SPL team will fancy their chances against him.

He is as poor as you'll find defensively in the SPL.

With his attacking threat waining it spells for disaster for both us and him.

"you either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain."

a Batman quote that quite fits Tav, if he had left 18 months ago he would have been a legend, he sees out this season in the form hes in and he will ruin his legacy with us, hes never been any good at defending but his attacking made it so hard to drop him, now though hes useless to us and cost us time and again.
