NixonRFC 1,563 Posted September 4 Share Posted September 4 A competent footballing authority would either have given the tims a home game that weekend since they were guaranteed UCL football, and therefor would've been able to play on the Saturday, or they could've just booked both of us to be away from home that week, but there's no thought process or logic that goes into these things. Take Sunday's Old Firm game for example, one of the marquee matches on our calander, and they stick it at the end of one of the notoriously busiest weeks in football, realistically we could've been playing in a UCL Play-Off on Tuesday or Wednesday, then there was the UCL drew on Thursday, UEL drew on Friday, all the while everyone was more focused on the business their clubs would do before the transfer window shut on Friday night, there was barely any mention of the game at all throughout the week, absolutely stupid planning, same with this St Johnstone game.
