Hamie 4,842
Fair play to him not sitting about doing fuck all and picking up a wage. Others could learn from this.
danepack 18
quite gutted for him, i thought he showed some real good qualities last season, can't be all that bad if he got poty.
piperpete 3,186
He lived our dream and played for the team we love, lucky bassa. Good luck to him and hope by not having a transfer fee gets himself a nice wee payday to set him up for life.
ThatNightInFlorence 696
I liked him but as we all know he isn't suited to Warburton's style of football. I'm sure he'll get a move somewhere easy enough, just hope it isn't Hibs!
BlueSuedeSambas 53,785
He'll be a decent signing for most teams in Scotland but his days were numbered as soon as Warburton came in.
ForeverBlue1872 463
All the best big man. I thought he could have been used as cover at RB.

bluenoz 30,836
Once Ball arrived, he knew he had to move on. Good luck Darren.
SammyEnglish 48
Best of luck to Darren. Was our most consistent player last season and can leave with his head held high.
MaddistonKnight 1,567
Good luck to him. He must be gutted at the way things have transpired. Picking up a POTY award not long ago.Would have thought we could have got a fee for him?Who in Scotland has got money? Other than us and the filth, does ANYBODY pay transfer fees nowadays? CoplandStandBear 995
Kilmarnock should be all over him
Dan Deacon 55,213
Hibs bound for nothing no doubt, thought we could have at least for a fee for our player of the year last seasonimagine selling him to hibs, that would have went down terribly after their recent dealings with us. DeanMK 4,670
Maybe we're making wages available for another player?
MayboleLoyal_atb 3,688
We must have someone else lined up cause boy from Stranraer I know is mates with Hardie and he told him Zaluska been told to find new club aswell that would leave us short of cover
Straight-Edge-Loyal 6,686
Good luck Darren sad he is gone tbh he could have had a part to play this season but aw well.
DrLaudrup 4,606
Great player in terms of commitment but not especially mobile and lacking in pace for Warburton's Rangers. I think he can leave with his head held high though, although he will likely end up back at St Mirren or Hivs and turn out against us which is unfortunate. Definitely need an extra CB, three isn't enough in case of suspensions, injuries etc
NixonRFC 1,333
Good luck to him, he's the only guy who deserved any real credit last Season but I've maintained all along that he isn't good enough, the fact he won PotY is an embarrassingly sad indictment in how crap we had become. If those who were of a better standard than McGregor tried as hard as he did we'd be a Premiership club this Season.Hibs bound I'd imagine, although with the bad blood between the club I'd guess maybe there might be a clause to say he couldn't join them, if so St Johnstone just freed their main stay CB
Spectre 1,663
Maybe we're making wages available for another player?Maybe but who knows how much of his contract we paid when we agreed to terminate the contract
Bobby Hume 13,068
Yeah MW has shown that he will only have players of a certain standard in and around the Club, and Darren just doesn't measure up to that standard.I do however have every confidence he will be picked up soon by another club, and thank him for his time with us ,as he was an honest trier, and I wish him all the best ......... except against us. Inigo 32,526
Warburton probably sees Zal as the better footballer out of the two. Wouldn't be surprised if he's next tbh.Best of luck to McGregor. Probably not of the kind of standard that MW's looking at now, but a decent, honest player nonetheless.

Marky. 6,927
Thanks for your honest effort, Darren.A playet who deserved all the awards received last year as he worked his arse off and performed admirably.Sorry it's not worked out for him now under Warburton and Weir, but can only wish him luck in the future and hope that his career can move on successfully.Played for the jersey and his heart on his sleeve.
