God help us all if they were ever to manage to get a point in a group stage game.

The fact we are still using zonal marking after so many fuck ups at set plays is unreal.

I would love someone to explain to me how you get rid of players on a long term big money contract who either don't want to leave [because of said wages they get for sitting on their arses]or the fact that nobody wants them.

slimjim1690 got a reaction from Garnock Blue in In All My Years Watching Rangers......
Bayern Munich semi at Ibrox in '72 was huge, almost similar we were poor domestically that year but just had that something in Europe and team spirit, Bayern were full of special players but we weren't to be denied, I've been fortunate to have witnessed some incredible results from my team but I will agree Wednesday night is up there considering where we have come from.

I wish people would stop using John Lundstram as an example, anyone who knew football could see that there was a player there, FFS he got a couple of MOTM awards in that run only for Gerrard to drop him in following games and that doesn't even bring in the fact that he was being played out of position, while I will admit he had a slow start it was still obvious to anyone with a brain that he could play.

Anyone that thinks he “only scores goals” doesn’t know the first thing about football tbh.

Elland Road was definitely better. As a stand alone game with all the hype thAt came with it and the manner in which we won it was probably the biggest and best game in my lifetime.
But this runs it pretty close given where we’ve came from.

slimjim1690 reacted to A.T.G in Steven Gerrard To Aston Villa - Official
He won us the league and stopped them. As far as I am aware maybe @eskbankloyal has more knowledge but I think he lifted the standards behind the scenes to that of Liverpools as we were nowhere near up to scratch. So although I’m still pissed off and was gutted the way he left, I don’t think we would be here without his efforts and we certainly wouldn’t be in the Champions League.
May be still raw for others, and I was raging at the time but I think I’ll look back at Gerrard as the man who saved us and actually pushed us here rather than a snake or a rat. He took us from Caixinha in the bushes and left us as champions with millions of pounds worth of saleable players ie Aribo Bassey Kent and made us a force in Europe.
I will probably always hold this view because that 55 season he provided will mean more to me than the way he left. Players and managers come and go, some leave their mark some don’t. I think Gerrards mark will be felt for years to come.
But aye, away to Bolton tonight was he? What a fanny of a choice. Aston Villa. Sad thing is I bet he regrets it 100 per cent.

100% spot on and the fact that after signing all of these well known injury plagued players we then go out and buy John fuckin Souttar , you couldnt make this stuff up.

It’s not their fault if they’re injured.
It is our fault for signing guys with horrific injury records, time after time.

Not according to every player they sign, apparently every new signing for them supported them from childhood no matter what part of the world they come from.

As soon as we got that I knew we'd pay for it, my money was on Goldson getting a red, but I just knew he'd itch in order to make up for it.

And yet he gives collum who everybody and his dug knows he hates Morelos the easiest of opportunities to get the red card out.

His foul on Lundstram was the most stonewall booking you are ever likely to see, player bearing down on goal space opening up in front of him getting ready to shoot then cynically taken out, his first half booking was a borderline red card too.

Moot point anyway, will be a cold day in hell if the SPFL were to assist us in any way.

Why would it be a riddy? Increasing our chances of having fit players and increasing injury recovery time for a potential £30m prize is a riddy?
FWIW I get both sides of the argument - keeping momentum and giving minutes vs more prep and recovery time.
