Not too bothered what else we spend the money on as long as it goes to Rangers. I assume we are agreed that we are sponsoring a player(s) for the whole of next year? Then we require at least £900 well before the season starts.

Yes, that's a given. That's why I think it's important that we 'bank' a fair chunk of the residual cash.

The idea was definitely that the money goes to Rangers, but there is also a lot of support for supporting various charitable causes too. That one is still up for debate, and is a tough one to get a handle on.

Update: We have broken the £1000 barrier. Ho hum. :D

Total Funds received to date (after PayPal deductions): £1008.24

Total Available to spend: £425.24

(and I'm still holding about £100 more from the Annan programmes)

I'm for adding the Annan program money to the total.

Brick, Sandy, then keep it for next year.

Yes, the Annan figure will get added to the balance, but that figure isn't complete yet, as I have to work out the final postage costs etc and deduct them. But it'll be in the range of about £120. I'm going to the post office tomorrow, so should be able to give you all the final update then.

banking money for next year - while fiscally sound :pipe: seems like a waste - not sure what to spend it on but with such a decent idea we will get the cash next season so lets do more with what we have! I wonder how much a card display costs to buy all that paper?

can we buy we rangers garden gnomes out the shop and hand out to some pensioners at next ibrox game. ill bring my granny as i love they gnomes

Probably the best idea ever Dunny

Two things I would say is:

1. In my opinion, it is essential that the money be spent on official Rangers products or services (which your gnomes are) - because the point is to get the money into their coffers.

2. If we buy products or services which we can use to generate more revenue from our members (ie raffling/auctioning etc) then we generate more money to buy more Rangers stuff to auction to members to raise more money to buy more Rangers stuff...

And that is the most effective way of utilising any money.
