Yeah obviously, but if you have a player who leads by example and tries to drag a team through hard times, instead of hiding, IMO that would make a difference. I agree, it would make a difference, but he wouldn't make Lafferty, Flanagan, Coulibaly ect any better. We need better quality players for the standards to improve imo. When you have guys like McGregor and Lafferty in the dressing room, who've both been part of successful title winning Rangers teams in the past and know the standards the fans expect, that should be more than enough inspiration. Davie weir wasn't a very inspirational captain in the sense he never shouted or grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck, but he did have a quality, settled squad around him. Popular Post TMB 14,167
Tavernier was absolutely outstanding today. Had Sinclair in his back pocket all game. Must’ve made about 10 interceptions. So much for ‘he can’t defend’ pish. The best attacking full-back in Scottish football. Get in 🇬🇧 gogzy, chepooka, SwallowsHisOwnSpunk and 5 others

Agree, I thought he was outstanding also - he gets a lot of stick on here but, to my mind, he’s improving with every game and was strong defensively and in attack today

SuperTav 970
Tav’s tackling today was the best I’ve seen from him. Managed to get the ball off Sinclair every time to the point they moved him off the wing. Cracking game from all 11, but great performance from our No. 2 eejay the dj

SwallowsHisOwnSpunk 7,875
No way in hell should we be selling him in January unless we receive an offer of £12 million plus. The guy is a beast.

crabbit247 787
Tav made look that Sinclair look invisible for 30mins after that he made him look ordinary. Well done tav surely?

Tomatasauce 1,253
Not a day for rubbing anybody’s nose in it but even his doubters must see his performance today and realise what us guys who like him, see in him. he’s played better than that today but I know doing it against the tarriers is something a few people didn’t like about him and captain? I think arfield deserves it because today he looked made for it but I’ve no problems with tav if the team play like that, arfield didn’t need the armband today to lead us
