Maybe I give too much forgiveness to the novelty aspect of that song and "plastic man" because they remind me of going on holiday when I was a wee guy. My Dad played The Kinks a lot on our drives down south and those two songs always stuck out to me when I was young. They're far from my favourite to be fair.
