So he was 'working hard' a few weeks ago according to the manager but now has fitness issues. Has he downed tools at training? Have these fitness issues only appeared in the last few days?

Amazing the wool that can be pulled over so many eyes.

You're not that dumb, stop pretending you are.

Not pretending anything. If the player had fitness and attitude issues that merit him being dropped out of the biggest game of the season - and one that could make a MASSIVE difference financially - then it raises questions over why he was involved on Saturday.

If his attitude is such that he can't even be part of the travelling party, this again must have existed before Saturday.

Both were words given to the public media.

And if you think any manager or player is going to publicly criticise anything in a press conference or interview that they don't have to you are mental.

"You must be happy to have Alfredo back in the squad"

"Nah I would rather he wasn't here tbh".

Obviously not. Using those generic press conference quotes as any sort of evidence is ridiculous. Actions speak louder than words. Negative statements of this type speak 100x more loudly than fluffy positive comments. The fact that this has came out at all is damning.

I post most of the time. Took a hiatus over the summer. Get over it.

You didn't take a hiatus over the summer, you were posting in every thread over the summer moaning about us not signing anyone then we started signing players you fucked off and have only came back now because there's an opportunity to stick the boot into people at the club. You would genuinely have been buzzing about this so you could run on RM and bitch about it.

Well things can change surprisingly enough, and things can accumulate.

He’s clearly still miles off it. If (big if) he’s turned up at training last week MWI, and then has picked up a ‘stupid’ (Tav’s words) red card - then surely you’d back Gio here?

Plus you’ve said a million times that pressers & interviews are puff piece paint by numbers pish.

None of us know what happens in and around training. You've got to show willing and be a part of the collective. Anyone who doesn't, shouldn't be a part of the match day squad. I suspect Gio has a multitude of reasons before and between Saturday and yesterday, the final straw broke. The boy is fucked in the head and has been since he arrived here.

Who said anything about criticising him? He doesn't have to go from one extreme to another. He could have said something like: 'It's good to have him back training. He's still got a way to go to getback to fitness and challenging for a place in the side."

Saturday's incident might have been the final straw? Was quite a big thing that he did.

He’s not fit enough for PSV and he’ll miss some games due to the sending off so it’s an ideal time to give him a boot up the arse and hopefully he takes it on board and works to get back in favour, his fitness is the big problem cos he’s always going to be prone to petulance which we put up with and have put up with or sell.

It doesn't need to be black or white.

There's a World we live in which means he can be given chances, then there can be the straw that broke the camels back.

Why you're so deliberately obtuse about things is strange.

If he's turned up 'mwi' on monday he should never have been involved on the Saturday.

They are puff-piece nonsense. But if you've got a player who has turned up out of shape and isn't working hard, you don't then turn around and say they are working hard.

Agreed.

He could have been working hard, and now isn’t…

And the difference between the two things you're saying makes absolutely no difference to this situation.

He gave a fluffy answer every football press conference gives, and the real story has came out when it's had to.

You're a journalist ffs
