A lot of the team from Saturday don't deserve to play this on Wednesday but Gio will never have the bottle to drop them.

Would be happy to see all of Kent, Kamara, Davis, McLaughlin, Sands, Tillman + Tav dropped. A message needs to be sent to the players that they won't get to play in these glamorous CL nights if they don't play with intensity and desire in the league.

Hopefully we never see Davis start again outside lower level sides in the cup or at home to the worst teams in the league solely to give Lundstram a rest.

Why stop there? Goldson, Colak and Lundstram deserve it as much as the resst

McCann and when Lowry’s fit should both be ahead of him

So when the replacements get pumped on Wednesday do they then deserve to be dropped for Aberdeen away?

I know Arfield has had some decent moments and obviously Lowry is now out injured, but this was the season those two took the minutes that Davis and Arfield are going to get.

Yep, think you and I have both said it many times on here that McCann should be getting those minutes. He'd have stood a much better chance at coping with their intensity + energy purely down to his own youthful, energetic style of play.

Aye probably but thanks to Ross Wilson being a wee prick we haven't got fit + reliable players on the bench to change the entire team.

It's to send a message to the team that they can't have it their own way.

I don't give a fuck if we get pumped by Ajax on Wednesday. There are bigger, structural issues at the club right now that need resolved ASAP. If Gio isn't willing to get his hands dirty and do that, then he can fuck off anawl.

Don't think he has the squad to drop them.

It seems that the only player putting in decent performances at the moment (Borna) is the only one in the squad that has been given any significant competition. Funny that.

We dont have the squad to drop players really. Our recruitment has been absolutely criminal.

He needs to be reading the riot act to the board and Wilson behind closed doors too. He's fronted the shite last week and taken the heat off the board by saying publicly that he is ok with the squad, which I don't think he is.

After PSV he certainly wasn't "relaxed", he inferred he wanted more in the door and spoke about how the money would be great for the club etc. Fast forward to the deadline closing and he's suddenly "relaxed" and speaking about how they built the squad with all competitions in mind? Must think we all button up the back.

What else is he going to say?

I wanted more because I know the squad isn’t good enough, but tight arse Dougie and incompetent Ross Wilson didn’t get anything done.

It’s a textbook manager answer.

Pochettino above ^^

Quote

"You'll have read the programme notes and seen the situation that the club is in, so to have to watch virtually every single club in the top five leagues get players in and for us not to be able to improve, that was difficult, not just as a manager but for the players, because players want to compete.

"This group have shown that they can compete, but we needed (help) but unfortunately we haven't been able to get that.

Rodgers at the weekend ^^
