Will be an interesting forum if we beat Ajax, particularly if the performance is excellent.

Wouldn't put it past us tbh.

I'll be happy, but very wary. A win in the CL could potentially allow us to sign a player (no laughing), it's a ridiculous amount of money, but the reality is I've got no faith that we're coming out of the next two away league games with maximum points - which is the bare minimum required.

You couldn't give a toss about your team playing in European footballs premier competition where the exposure enhances your clubs reputation and earns them millions of pounds in revenue that we could only have dreamed about 5/6 years ago? Ok then, can't wait for our next victory in the league cup against Dundee, cos domestically that's where its all happening, fucking hell.

Europe is the equivalent of a nice wee quarterly bonus to boost your annual salary.

If your annual salary drops to substandard levels then the additional bonus does not compensate for it.

At the end of the day football is a sport. It's about winning trophies and pride, not how a balance sheet looks. And right now we are being utterly humiliated by Celtic. Nothing in Europe, other than winning the tournament can make up for that.

To be fair, we’d maybe best wait on the results before we make any claims about enhancing the clubs reputation, but the rest of your post is valid!

Whilst I get your point, the problem for us is that financially, domestic football is a job that pays less than minimum wage and European football is the commission which is worth 5-10x the basic wage.

We need to find a balance between being competitive in Europe and in the league, currently we’re waited too much towards Europe and it shows.

Managers such as Souness, Walter, Waddell have all found it difficult, Gio appears to be as well.

          McLaughlin

Tav Goldson Sands Barisic

       Jack Lundstram

           Tillman

  Wright Colak Kent

Sorely tempted to drop a few but that makes them a scapegoat for the weekend and due to them all being shit that would be unfair.

1-1 with Alfie getting the goal from the bench.

Be interesting to see if Gio sticks with McLaughlin or not.

I think he has to for Wednesday and possibly the weekend, if he bins him he makes him the scapegoat for the weekend.

If McGregor comes in and makes a few mistakes does he get binned and we are on to McCrorie?

It’s a clusterfuck situation as imo as soon as McGregor signed the new deal he should have stayed number 1 as he is a better GK based on what he has done, the problem with McLaughlin is he looked good in small sample sizes.

Are any of them good enough to be the current Rangers No.1, that’s probably the bigger question now.

Only Rangers can kill the excitement going into this with the ticket prices, no more signings and then Saturday.

It should be a massive occasion. The club’s official return to the biggest stage in club football . But you are spot on just has a really underwhelming feeling to it all just now . Hopefully get myself more up for it as kick off gets closer
